Whether we like it or not, winter is coming. Temperatures are dropping and shops already have Christmas stock on the shelves. Although many people are already counting the days until spring and their next holiday here are 10 reasons to change your mind and get you excited for winter.

1. Cheesy Christmas Jumpers!

What’s not to love about winter fashion? Winter means oversized sweaters, fluffy scarves, big cosy coats and jackets galore, fur ponchos, and you cannot forget the boots. Winter is probably the most comfortable season!

2. Snow Day!

Although not everyone loves the snow, it’s a fact that everyone loves snow days. There is no better feeling than when you get that early morning call from your boss saying you can have the day off, it’s a Snow Day. Its the one day of the year everyone gets to act like a kid again! SNOWBALL FIGHTS!!!

3. THE FOOD!

Everyone loves Christmas dinner, EVERYONE! But the best thing about winter is you get to pig out all season - Just because it's Winter! Mince pies, Christmas pudding, Aunt Bessies Roasties and not to forget the meat…I think its the one time of the year all mums get a little outrageous when doing the food shop, your fridge is always full of goodies!

4. New Years

The majority of people will try to act like they hate the X Factor, when in fact everyone has a soft spot for the singing contest and will undoubtedly be on their sofa every weekend with a cup of coco and updating status' on Facebook about who's going home and that Simon is a douche!

Fluffy socks, Knitted socks, Long socks, Toe socks, EVERYONE will be opening up a pair for Christmas! Its that one present you always receive and will always give. As soon as the weather turns cold, out come the socks and everyone is obsessed!

Its the time of the year everyone settles down with a loved one and spends the evenings snuggled up in front of the fire (or halogen heater if your not that posh) and watch movies! Even the single pringles will have their bestie as a snuggle partner and for some their cat, but hey who doesn't love a cosy night in on a cold night!

Its time for Starbucks to change their menu to all those yummy specials! Vodka and coke has suddenly changed to hot choc with whipped creme and marshmallows…

But no one is complaining! Everyone is a sucker for a hot drink in the Winter…Plus its an excuse to overload on all your chocolate faves and detox from the amount of alcohol you consumed this summer!

Do you remember how excited you felt each morning in December, counting down the days until Christmas? The thrill from opening them tiny doors and munching on the chocolate! It felt like easter everyday! But we all know that we actually go through two calendars every years as none of us can refrain from opening all the doors on the first day and eating all the chocolate! The next 24 days with the new calendar are a giant test of self control! Bare minimum of us make it past day 12!!
