Deprived In Life!! I Need Heeeellllppppp!!!!! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/deprived-in-life/x/9661762

I am David,(54) I have lived in the Philippines for 3 years and I fell in-love and married a Filipino lady named Carmelita . Carmelita has a Down Syndrome son Jay-Ar (Jr)who is now 22 years of age from a previous relationship. JR`s biological father is deceased and I have accepted JR as my own and I love and treat him accordingly, hence My heart's desire is to see my son back in good health. After many months of in and out of hospitals and many many tests etc, trying to diagnose what Illness our son had they finally found JR has had contracted Gastro-Tuberculosis. Because it took so long for them to come up with the correct diagnosis they found that his small intestine and large intestine had started to adhere to each other. To-date he has had three operations within 5 months in the Philippines and unfortunately with the last operation our son JR, has had to have a Temporary Colostomy Bag attached. Also, as a result of the operation, there is extra bowel protruding from the operation area which you will be able to see from the attached photos. I have heard from a non-professional that it is a Prolapsed Bowel. He needs another Immediate operation by a different surgeon to rectify this bungled surgery. My Efforts so far. After finding that our son had such expensive critical care needed, I have had to leave the Philippines to go back to Australia to try to financially support my wife and provide the best medical treatment for my son that I could afford. As you may or may not know, there is no Governmental Medical assistance in any way shape or form in the Philippines. You either pay for medical treatment out of your own pocket or you die. It's as simple as that, as bad as that may sound. To date, it's been 2 years plus that my wife and I have been enduring the heart ache of seeing our son in his condition.2 years of JR constantly being in and out of hospital and me hearing the despair in my wife, Carmelita's voice over the phone tears my heart. It breaks my heart also knowing I should be by my wife and sons side through all this but being the provider I gladly sacrifice separation to provide for my son. Because of the lack of funds I have not been able to afford to travel to see my wife and son nor can I afford the spouse visa to get them to Australia After landing back In Aus I took the first job I could get at my age and am a low income earner who works as a Ringer on a cattle station in remote 0utback Australia and I send almost all of my pay to Carmelita for her monthly needs(rent, electricity, water etc, etc.). Also there is the constant supply Tuberculosis medicines, Colostomy bags and all the related medical needs required for JR's well being plus numerous Hospital/Admission and Doctor visits etc on many occasions. What Can You Do To Help! We are at the end of our tether now, absolutely stressed to the max thinking of how we can raise finances for the escalating, ongoing medical needs. At the last monthly check up the Gastro Surgeon stated that he wanted to do an Immediate surgery for the Prolapsed bowel and to do several more scans, abdominal MRI and Abdominal Ultrasounds as he believed that the Tuberculosis should have cleared by now and a reverse Operation for the removal of the colostomy bag is Imminent. We Have no more money, we are busted. With no where or no one to turn to we are seeking help from any and all caring people that might see a way to make a young man's life a lot brighter. At this point in time Because of our financial situation we have no choice but to leave the bag on him indefinitely till we can find the funds to bring our son back to live a normal life. Your help would be a life saver and a huge stress reliever. Funding required. All the tests they are wanting to do,Reversal Operation,Hospitalization, and ongoing medicines etc it will cost approx 1/2-3/4 million Php= approx 16-20 thousand Aus Dollars.
