    Gambit Film Loses Director Rupert Wyatt

    Looks like the 'Ragin Canjun' has been dealt a bad hand!

    The anticipated Gambit film has hit another speed bump! Take a deep breathe now! This time director Rupert Wyatt has exited the upcoming X-Men spinoff. Say what?!

    Wyatt’s prior films included Rise of the Planet of the Apes and The Gambler. He spoke with The Hollywood Reporter:

    “I was very much looking forward to working with my friend Channing and the team at Fox,” says Wyatt, “but regrettably a push in the start date now conflicts with another project. I thank them for the opportunity, and I know that Gambit will make a terrific film.”

    But fear not, Channing Tatum still remains attached to the feature which is planning to shoot in New Orleans next spring. Although, we weren’t too fussed when word on the street was that Tatum was dropping out back in July…but alas he still going to be playing the ‘ragin cajun.’

    The film is currently set to be released on October 7, 2016 following the X-Men spinoff Deadpool on February 15, 2016 and X-Men: Apocalypse on May 27, 2016.
