The Rest Of The World Thinks This Is What "American Food" Is And It’s Kind Of Crazy

This is our culinary legacy.

Have you ever wondered what foods people in other countries think are “American food”? Let’s find out:

1. England:

Pop-Tarts, beef jerky, three types of M&Ms, and marshmallow fluff. Looks about right.

2. New Zealand:

Pop-Tarts, Lucky Charms, and every type of candy you buy before seeing a movie.

3. France:

Like eight different types of cookies, mustard, pancakes, and marshmallow fluff. I’m sensing a trend.

4. Germany:

Salad dressing, nacho cheese, cake mix, syrup, and marshmallow fluff.

5. Belgium:

Literally just soda and guacamole mix. Nailed it.

6. Australia:

So much candy…and marshmallow fluff.

7. The Netherlands:

Frostings and mixes and dressings, oh my!

8. Ireland:

Pop-Tarts, Lucky Charms, Nerds, Twinkies, and MARSHMALLOW FLUFF.

9. Finland:

Pop-Tarts, mustard, and so many hot sauces.

10. Sweden

Goldfish, marshmallows, Snapple, and Charleston Chew?

11. Spain:

Ranch dressing, chocolate syrup, cake mix, frosting, and…yup…MARSHMALLOW FLUFF.

12. Denmark:

Salad dressing, jello, pickles, Twizzlers, and cooking spray?

13. Colombia

Hot chocolate, ketchup, peanut butter, and muffin mix.

14. And finally, the UK again:

Soda, candy, cereal, candy cereal, AND…MARSHMALLOW FLUFF.

BEHOLD: the most American food there is:

God bless A-marshmallowfluff-ica.
