    Next-Gen Top 10 Games List 2013-2014

Note: This is my top ten list, not an official list.

    10. Call of Duty Ghosts

Oh Call of Duty. Many people love it, while many hate it. I have my own squanders about the franchise in general, but I always end up buying Call of Duty games. I don't think the games are bad or poorly developed, I just think they release them far too often. Give fans two years in between each game, and I am sure the complaints would lessen drastically.

    9. Batman Arkham Origins

I remember when Batman Arkham Asylum was released. I jumped at the opportunity to play that game right away. It really captured the essence of Batman very well, and I feel Batmand Arkham Origins will be able to create an even better "open-world" Batman experience.

    8. The Witcher 3

You want an open world game, you got it. The Witcher 3 has expanded its landscape to rival even Skyrim... three times. I am a fan of The Witcher, and The Witcher 2 so the next game in the series better keep my love for this game. With so much content and things to do, I'm not sure if I'll ever end up completing the game before the future next gen consoles arrive!

    7. Halo 5

I am a Halo fan, period. I know Halo fanboys might be looked down upon in the gaming world today, but I absolutely love each Halo game (minus Halo 3: ODST). My favorite of the franchise is Halo 3. I played hours and hours of that game, and it never seemed to get old. I am a little skeptical about Halo 5, but I know I will purchase it no matter what, and I will play it even if it is the worst game I own.

    6. Battlefield 4

I have my ups and downs with Battlefield games in the past. I played Battlefield 3 the most out of all of the games, but it never really stuck. However, Battlefield 4 has caught my attention. From falling skyscrapers, too fast and hectic firefights, this game looks to be moving up on my list. I never liked the story for Battlefield, so the multiplayer for Battlefield 4 will need to win me over.

    5. Watch Dogs

After my first video preview for Watch Dogs, my heart started racing. This open-world game lets you hack into other AI cell phones and devices alike. There is a giant world to explore, and Watchdogs looks like it will deliver a great title to gamers everywhere.

    4. The Division

Here is another title by Ubisoft that came out of nowhere during E3. The Division looks to be a third-person MMO shooter that incorporates tablet gameplay as well. For a demo, the game looks very polished. I hope The Division can live up to being in my top five games of 2013-2014.

    3. Destiny

Bungie, what a great company. I was very upset when they left the Halo trilogy, and now I understand why. Destiny incorporates a whole new universe to explore, and explore it with friends. I like the dynamic events that take place, and how coop gameplay is a big part of the game. It seems to me that it encorporates MMO like missions to accomplish with friends, but I will have to wait and see for its 2014 launch.

    2. Dying Light

I was unaware of this title until a friend mentioned it to me, and I am glad he did. This game went from unknown to number two on my list in one day. I almost put this game in front of Titanfall! I am a zombie apocalypse fan, and a first-person parkour game is one I have been waiting to play. This game has got me very excited, and I can't wait for it to be released.

    1. Titanfall

And last but by no means least, Titanfall. I know critics raved about this game, and that it may have turned many players off to it. I wrote this game down as my number one the moment I saw the E3 coverage. A game that feels like Call of Duty, with different gameplay! I'm not even sure if that makes sense. The Mechs are awesome, and player movements seems fast and well animated. I think this might even be a PS4 killer for sales during 2014.

    Honorable Mention:

    Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

Ever since Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed 2, I have become a diehard fan. Each game builds upon the previous one as it should keeping elements of what made the games great, and adding gameplay to make each game better. I still believe Assassin's Creed 2 to be the best overall, but each game since has been very entertaining to play and explore.
