Alright lets talk about how Grifball is going to be in Halo 4. Halo 4 Grifball field seems much bigger than what we are use to. As for the map you will see in the video below, it looks like they got rid of the idea of allowing you to have that ledge people would camp on. It also could be just the map in the video since it is a new map you will see in Halo 4 Forge. Another feature to the Grifball field is they have a visible hill marker radius that shows you where the bomb capture plate is and it has a color tint so you know which side your on. So if you're wondering "why is it so easy to get over here" that is because you went the wrong way haha. Also in traditional Grifball you would have it to when a person scored it would reset for a new round; not in Halo 4. Halo 4 Girfball will reset the ball, but not the round. This helps the scoring of the game go faster. Now that is a separate Grifball mode so you will have traditional Grifball. Another feature is called "Sword Snatch". Sword snatch allows you to grab the ball after you kill the ball carrier with the sword; as compared to the ball just dropping on the floor.
Now here is the feature that will blow your mind and will change how Grifball is played, but will it be for better or for worse? In Halo 4 Grifball you will be allowed to literally throw the ball to your teammates; or if you're really good with the hammer you can pass the ball by hitting it with your hammer. Now you're probably thinking "Well how far can we throw the ball?". Pretty far if you use the "Boost Throw" ability, which allows you to give your throws more distance. You will see a demonstration of this in the video. Personally to me, it sounds like Grifball became good friends with American Football & Hockey.
