    No more animal cruelty and torturing of bulls! This is the message that the people of Quito, Ecuador, wanted to get across to the gaming commission. While the Fiestas de Quito are a great cultural tradition that, year after year, draw the locals and millions of tourists out to the streets of Quito, the bullfight is not. Bullfighting is not an Ecuadorian tradition that our people believed in. "Bull fighting came from Spain with the invasion of America. It is not a traditional Ecuadorian sport and it has no place in Fiestas de Quito," explains a middle aged man with a pair of horns on his head and a sign that reads "Is not a sport, is a crime."

    Although the citizens of Quito still love to be out and celebrating with their friends, they have shown that they will take away time from the partying to protest against what they consider to be heinous.
