    Let's Count The Ways Tel Aviv Is Basically Burning Man

    A disproportionate number of Israelis have made the trek to Burning Man in recent years. In fact, Hebrew was the 5th most common native language after English according to the 2014 Black Rock City census. And Israel's own Burning Man, Midburn, is already the second largest regional event in the world. But you don't have to look further than Israel's cultural hub of Tel Aviv to understand why to many Israelis, Burning Man may just feel like home.

    Many involve lights and technology.

    There are even "art cars."

    You are always spontaneously running into your friends. And actually making plans to meet them is almost impossible.

    When it comes to clothes, anything goes.

    Panda suits > business suits.

    Once in a while, a huge cloud of dust comes along and swallows your city.

    It's amazing what passes as weather here.

    But that doesn't stop people from attending important gatherings, like the Zombie Walk.

    Or the Water War...

    Acroyoga is HUGE.

    So is hooping.

    Did we forget to mention the music? It's everywhere. From indie guitarists busking on the boulevards...

    To those nightclubs...

    Except on Yom Kippur. That's when the city gets quiet... but then, it's even MORE like Burning Man.

    Because before the holiday, the people who don't observe the fast stock up on food and beer to survive. (#radicalselfreliance)

    EVERYWHERE.
