"The Princess Diaries" changed the game for the early 2000s and the song that closed the movie was no different. Upbeat, fun, and just the right amount of cheesiness for a perfect 00s pop one hit wonder. Do you still believe in miracles?

    2. "Candy" by Mandy Moore

Mandy Moore is still killing it as an actress but thats no reason to neglect her amazing hit song "Candy." We often focus on Brittany and Christina but Mandy also owned bubblegum pop, and that needs to be respected.

    3. "That's What Girls Do" by No Secrets

Long before the days of Fifth Harmony and Little Mix, there was No Secrets. Sure they didn't leave us much, but they left us one incredible feminist anthem. Sure it can give a pretty stereotypical look at women, but it left the message that girls can do what they damn well please. Also it was mad catchy and in the "Power Puff Girls Movie" to boot.

    4. "Hey Juliet" by LMNT

Again, one of the forgotten boy bands of yesteryear. However, this song was a total jam. It may not have been N'SYNC or the Backstreet Boys but it still deserves some love! Also let's not forget that LMNT featured "Glee's" Mr. Schue himself, Matthew Morrison!

    5. "Upside Down" by A*Teens

From the wonderful land of Sweden came the A*Teens. Remembered greatly for their random ABBA covers, one often forgets their one of a kind jam "Upside Down." Sure, this is about as cheesy as you can get, but back in the day this song made you want to have a crush that brought you behind in history.

    6. "The Great Escape" by Boys Like Girls

Ah the beautiful band that made preppy kids feel like they could rebel against their parents and join the emo crowd. Boys Like Girls practically owned the late 00s but we seem to give them little credit today. Let's all take a moment to give thanks for the song that made us feel like we should all sneak out of our houses and run around a Walmart at midnight.

    7. "Best Day of My Life" by Jesse McCartney

It's no secret that Jesse McCartney practically owned the mid 00s but most of the time his hits "Beautiful Soul" or "Because you Live" are all anyone focuses on. This cover of the Robert D Palmer song is clearly one of his best, it's a little less poppy and gives Jesse singer/songwriter sounding kind of vibe. Also it was in "A Cinderella Story" aka one of the best movies of 00s.

    8. "Maneater" by Nelly Furtado

She wasn't just like a bird and she wasn't just a promiscuous girl. We often forget about "Maneater" but that does not make it any less awesome. Every 00s girl will tell you that she COMMANDED the dance floor at school dances when this song came on.

What are your favorites from the 00s?
