Why Every Girl Should Watch The Real Housewives

We all need a little table flipping in our lives.

1. We can finally see everything that goes on behind our backs, with an exaggerated overdramatic flare of course.

We all know it happens. The gossip, the rumors, the backstabbing; all of it is real and occurs way too often. Even though we know it happens, either because we have been a victim or a participant, most of us never really see it from start to finish. We finally get a little insight into what drives most women to talk badly about others and can see just how disgusting and stupid it really is.

2. It's completely mindless.

You don't need to think! This isn't like watching an episode of Game Of Thrones where you need to prepare yourself and try and remember what happened in the previous five seasons with multiple story lines. The only reason you're ever on the edge of your seat is because you're almost out of wine and need to go get more on the next commercial break. It is the perfect show for when you get home from a tough day at work and just need to unwind.

3. It gives us the inside scoop of how the other half lives, and then shows us why we may not want it.

So I don't know about you, but I don't live in a five million dollar mansion with my purebred shih tzu, two incredibly well dressed children, and a plastic surgeon husband. The Real Housewives are the closest I will get to being able to casually drive a Lamborghini to the supermarket and while it looks amazing, the drama is then shown to remind us that money is not everything.

4. It gives us great tips on restaurants, fashion, and everything that's in.

So they may all be a little crazy, but they know how to spend their money. I live right outside of New York City so whenever I watch The Real Housewives NYC I learn about a hidden new place to eat this weekend and where to shop for that event I have coming up. It's surprisingly full of neat tips and information about the best places in town.

5. I know it sounds corny, but its great bonding time.

Growing up I was a serious tomboy and spent most of my time perfecting my soccer and softball skills with my dad, so The Real Housewives became the show that brought my mom and I together. I walked in on her watching it one day and as much as I didn't want to, I got hooked. Now we watch it together every week I'm home from school, and when I'm away I watch it with my girlfriends. It makes us all a little closer even if it is only for an hour.

6. It's entertaining and incredibly addicting

As I said earlier, everyone needs a little table flipping in their lives. Trust me, once you start this show there is no going back; and who's to say you would ever want to?
