Why The Latest "Teen Wolf" Trailer Will Make You Want To Cry

Why can't everyone just be happy?

The first is always the worst. Kind of.

A few days ago, MTV released the first full trailer for it's highly popular werewolf drama, Teen Wolf. This is potentially the most exciting time of the year.

As usual, the trailer is terrifying and potentially soul crushing.

1. Almost everything about Stiles.

Stiles Stilinski, played by Dylan O'Brien, is one of the very few actual humans in Teen Wolf. If you're a huge Stiles fan (like pretty much everyone else who watches the show), then you are as equally distraught about those Stiles scenes as me.

2. It's always going to be a bad day when Lydia goes full banshee.

Lydia Martin, played by Holland Roden, gets her fair share of scream time this season. In fact, the "cold open" that is the season premiere is all about Lydia. Yikes.

3. And this also isn't helping your case, Lydia

One focus of the trailer appears to be about Lydia spending some R&R in Eichen House. But it might not be as rejuvenating as one might hope. You know, being a secret supernatural creature prison and all.

Atleast buy me dinner before you sonic-blast me down the hall. Way to be considerate, Lydia.

4. Then there's this new kid on the block.

Theo, played by Cody Christian, is joining the show this season. Theo is someone from Scott's past who has returned to Beacon Hills. He is obviously of the lycanthropic persuasion and is in search of a new pack.

Stiles doesn't trust him, though. And that's enough for me to throw in a red flag.

5. But lil' Liam is back!

Liam Dunbar, played by Dylan Sprayberry, is back on the show as a season five regular. He was introduced last season as the new lacrosse player who will give Scott and Stiles a run for their money.

Things quickly went to shit and now Liam is a werewolf and he's practically Scott's new puppy.

6. We can't forget about Scott.

"What worries me is at some point, the scale has to tip one way or the other. Which means that things are going to get really good again--or really bad."

Scott McCall, played by Tyler Posey, is the esteemed Alpha of the pack. This season, Scott's leadership is going to be tested and he is going to have to fight to keep his pack together. But when new enemies are introduced, how will Scott keep it together and be the True Alpha that everyone is rooting for?

7. Watch those wandering eyes, Malia.

Malia Tate, played by Shelley Hennig, had a lot going in the fourth season. In addition to finding out that Peter Hale, played by Ian Bohen, was her father, Malia was left wondering about her real mother: The Desert Wolf.

This season, Malia will be tormented by her inner feelings about her mother. Rumors are stirring that her and Stiles' relationship might be tested this season. And if the trailer is any indication, she might start having eyes for someone else.

8. Now let's get back to this Stiles situation.

The trailer is all but flattering to Stiles. At three different spots, he is either half dead, in distress, or screaming. What are you trying to do to us, Teen Wolf?

You hurt Stiles, we come after you. It's simple, really.

9. It's pretty much completely terrifying.

The Rules Have Changed. The Doctors Will See You Now. Watch Your Pack.

All themes of the upcoming season and they do nothing to instill confidence that we shouldn't prepare for basically everyone to die.

10. Just watch it for yourself. You'll see.
