    Oppression and Repression Of Women

Willard Mitt Romney's plan to oppress and repress women.

    Good day, good people.

Willard Mitt Romney has vowed, if he is elected, to overturn the Roe versus Wade decision which legalized abortion. It was passed by the Supreme Court in 1973. If he did, this would recriminalize abortion. He has stated he is not in favor of abortion under any circumstances during the primaries when he was pandering. Since then he has pandered to the moderates by vacillating. He now might approve abortion in case of rape or the mother’s health, maybe. The man cannot be trusted. If he is president, he will do as the Tea Party Patriots and the extreme-conservative members of the Republican Party tell him to do, because they own him. He will revert back, and then we will see the real Willard. We will not be able to do anything about it for four years.

For devotees of the English language: Oligogenics is a noun. It means birth control.

There is no doubt this is a women’s-health issue and not a religious issue. But it is also a men’s issue. Willard was born in 1947 and lived for thirty-six years before the legalization of abortion. To date no woman has come forward to say he made her pregnant, and she had an illegal abortion with the help of Willard monetarily or otherwise. To date no man has come forward to say Willard helped a man and/or a woman to get her an abortion. And herein is the problem.

A U.S. senator retired. He went into business. After he was in business for a while he said, “I didn’t realize there were so damn many regulations. If I had been in business before I went to the Senate, I could’ve done a better job, and there wouldn’t be so many regulations.”

Men who love their ladies are gravely affected by the decision to have an abortion, too. It matters not whether the lady is a mother, wife, fiancé or girlfriend. If the lady wants an abortion for whatever the reason and it is a criminal offense, a felony, to have one and he assists her in any way, they are guilty of conspiring to commit a felony. They can be indicted, prosecuted, convicted and imprisoned and so can the abortionist. What we know for sure is: women are going to continue to get pregnant intentionally or unintentionally, and for whatever the reason which is immaterial they will have an abortion if they want one even if it is to be self-induced or attempted with the potential consequences of death.

Anyone who has not been living in a vacuum in a cave remembers or knows about the Volstead Act more popularly known as the National Prohibition Act. It was passed on 29 October 1919 for the purpose of carrying out the intent of the Eighteenth Amendment. It was to prevent the consumption of alcoholic beverages, to regulate the manufacturing of alcohol and to have an ample supply for scientific purposes. We know it did not prevent the consumption of alcoholic beverages by Americans. Millions of people broke the law in every area from drinking, manufacturing and transporting. Thousands of people died by drinking poisonous alcohol. Also, they died by selling, manufacturing and/or transporting it. On 25 December 1933 the Twenty-First Amendment became law and repealed the Eighteenth Amendment returning the control of alcohol to the states.

I do not know which information is worse, the former or what follows. I am sure Willard knows about the following information as do all who were teenagers or adults before 1973. It is human to get what you want if you possibly can. It is also human to get what you do not want. There are countless back alley horror stories about doctors, quacks and charlatans performing abortions not in hospitals but in filthy and unsterile circumstances and as a result the women died. What was the effect on the men who loved them? This is a men’s issue too. No one I know has ever discussed or have I read about the emotional and or psychological damage done to men who must endure the loss of a loved one by negligent homicide in which they participated.

Between the late 1800s and 1973 abortion was criminalized, but millions of women obtained abortions. Conservative estimates are that between five thousand and ten thousand women died per year as a result. Some died because of the abortion, some of infection and some of hemorrhaging afterward.

After World War II there was a suppression of women’s rights. In New York during the 1960s, illegal abortions caused forty-two percent of women to die during pregnancy. Women were confronted after receiving an abortion and forced to testify against the abortionist or be publicly humiliated in the media if they did not.

Because of the extortion of women by law enforcement, more women engaged in self-induced abortion. Women tried violence upon their bodies. They ingested, douched with or inserted into themselves a chilling variety of chemicals and toxins. They included bleach, potassium permanganate, turpentine, gunpowder and whiskey. Knitting needles, crochet hooks, scissors and coat hangers were all among the tools used by women who had no choice but to resort to these means. Thousands of women died. Some lived with permanent injuries and disfigurement.

Then in 1977 the patriarchal society in the United States oppressed women again as a part of its ongoing effort to suppress equality. This time Congress banned federal funding of Medicaid for abortions for poor women. Women’s equality with men will make progress if women have control and freedom over their reproductive rights. Sexism lives.

There seems to be no end in the Romney-Ryan campaign to oppress and repress women and men indirectly with limits to contraception, oligogenics and other services women must have. They also wish to allow thousands of women around the world to die every year. This would be caused by their opposition to contraception, prenatal care and childbirth help.

Another one of Willard’s first day in office pledged misdeeds is the re-imposition of the Mexico City Policy, Policy. It is also known as the global gag rule. This onerous Policy, another example of his lack of compassion or empathy for others, would deny federal money for family-planning work abroad to any non-governmental organizations, NGOs, which provided information, advice, referrals or services for legal abortions or supported the legalization of abortion. This would be true even if the organization used its own money. This suppressing of free speech and freedom makes a mockery of American democracy and a loss of credibility. President Obama eliminated the gag rule after he took office.

Willard, if he is elected, would shame the U.S. again. He would not allow the U.S. to contribute to the United Nations Population Fund, Fund. This Fund supports programs to improve poor-women’s reproductive health, reduce infant mortality, end sexual trafficking of women and help prevent the spread of HIV in one hundred and fifty countries. The Obama administration is contributing to this Fund.

Because Willard has no compassion or empathy for the Middle Class or the poor, how can you expect him to have any for either if women die as a result of an illegal abortion or attempted self-performed abortion if it is recriminalized?

What kind of person would do these oppressive and dangerous things to women? Is he interested in infecting more people in the world than are already infected? Is he interested in spreading HIV and Aids among the helpless, poor and the vulnerables for the purpose of oblique population control? Why would he confirm and demonstrate his lack of compassion for others to the world? If he had arranged for an abortion for a girl he had made pregnant, would he have the same attitude as he does today toward women’s-health issues worldwide? Or, did he become an adamant prolife advocate to pander to the extreme elements in the Republican Party to cover for his previous prochoice position and his guilt and shame as a result of his misdeeds, if there were any?

It appears to me Willard’s foreign policies and attitudes toward women are outdated. He appears to believe the same failed foreign policies of the Cheney administration. Any objective observer of Willard’s lies and rapacious past, with a modicum of knowledge of history and basic psychology would likely agree, that he is a conscienceless sociopathic misogynistic-anachronistic patriarch in his attitude toward women and their rights. His ideas are definitely archaic and not workable in a modern-worldwide society.

Carl Jung, the Swiss psychiatrist who died in 1961, would evaluate Willard as follows: Willard is shadow possessed. He is self-undifferentiated and frozen as if Midas touched himself turning himself to gold and rendering himself spiritually dead — barely human anymore, robotic with a thin-tin veneer of anachronistic beliefs and attitudes and much less socially responsible than a reptile.

What is your thought on the contribution you can make to the improvement of women’s rights in this world and give them the control and freedom of choice they deserve?

I hope this article will give you something to consider and discuss. To be successful you must understand other people’s opinions and care about them.
