Taylor Swift Really, Really, Really Loves 2 A.M. & We're Worried

T. Swift is one of the greatest songwriters of our generation but, sometimes, even she gets writer's block.

"Breathe"

It all started so innocently in 2008 with her "Fearless" album. Tay was just trying to convey that she was losing sleep over a failed relationship--as we're all prone to do. Nothing to see here.

"The Way I Loved You"

But then later, on that very same album, T. Swift is searching for some lyrics again and the damn early-morning hour crosses her mind once more. She probably forgot she just used it. We let it slide.

"Mine"

But then 2010 comes and it's the "Speak Now" era. Surely, she's dating another dude by then, yes? But for some reason, they, too, are fighting at all hours of the night. Maybe it's because they're both severely sleep-deprived?

"Enchanted"

And then, later in the album, she seems pretty desperate to get this question answered, so we excuse her method of doing so because maybe she's just not thinking straight. We don't know.

"Last Kiss"

Then, once again on the "Speak Now" album, T.Swift wants soooo badly to namecheck her favorite timestamp but, this time around, it just.does.not.rhyme. Still, she forges ahead anyway.

(To be fair, she could be referring to the afternoon, but at this point, it's highly unlikely.)

"Out of The Woods"

We thought we were in the clear. We thought she'd recovered. Taylor had managed to create an entire album--"Red"--without any mention of this utterly-specific hour of the day. But just when we thought we were out of the woods (see what I did there?), a single track on her "1989" album proved addiction is real, ya'll.
