I'm 5'8" and I do have to sit in a low chair but it works well and I do computer work and talk on the phone while burning about 1,000 calories a day! You can't beat that. I was looking at more expensive solutions but I won't look anymore. Completely satisfied." —Phil

Promising review: "This has helped my neck pain and workflow. I'm used to working in an office with monitors and this made a big difference in my work from home experience by putting my screen at a comfortable eye level. The material is good quality, feels sturdy, and was simple to assemble. It comes in three pieces and is intuitive to put together without looking at directions. There are pads on the top to keep your laptop from sliding. I'm using it with a 15-inch laptop and it's a good fit. I did get a wireless keyboard to use with it, which I would recommend. If you were to try to type on your laptop keyboard with this, it would be uncomfortable. I bought it for the ergonomics, but as a bonus, I am liking how it helps me keep my desk organized with the extra space beneath. Great product!" —M

Promising review: "I am currently working from home and I make tea at every hour of every day. I used to own a Mr. Coffee and had lost it during moving so I HAD to get another one. I’m so glad that I did because now my tea stays warm throughout work. There is no adjustment to high and low but I prefer things simple. You just switch it on and it stays on. The plate gets pretty hot which makes my cup hot at the bottom. No issue for me because I don’t have children. I prefer warm tea over piping hot or freezing cold. This little device is my best friend and it’s great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a 'just right' cup of anything." —Cecy R.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "This is a great product, and it definitely outplays its price point. While I’ve only had it for about a week, the spring allows easy change in height. One of the primary reasons I bought this versus others was due to the low profile. It takes up less than one-fourth of my dining room table, which is a big hit with my spouse. My work sprawls far less since I can consolidate everything in this space. For those wondering about the height, dining room chair height is very comfortable with the keyboard location. And as someone who is 6-foot-1, I find the maximum height allows me to remain fully vertical, which was a big concern prior to this arriving. Overall about the happiest I’ve been with any of my most recent purchases over $100." —Adam S.

Get it from Amazon for $115.87+ (available in two sizes and in five colors).

Promising review: "I work from home in a small apartment, and this really made my setup work the way I want it to. I need to use all six plugs, plus I like to keep my phone and Mi-Fi charging while working too. This was the perfect thing for me to get everything plugged in and essentially retrofitted into a built-in apartment wall desk setup that was intended for the large desktop towers of the late 90s. I’m ordering a second one in hopes it transforms another part of my weird floor plan. Bonus: The USB ports seem to fast-charge my iPhone XS Max. I can go from dead to fully charged in about 90 minutes." —Moose

    18. A pair of noise-cancelling wireless headphones to drown out the world and get down to business to the soothing sounds of your favorite true crime podcast.

    Danielle Healy / BuzzFeed

My ear shape rejects the premise of earbuds, so for long-term wear, I always turn to big 'ole headphones. I've had this pair for a little over a year now and I love them. They're incredibly comfortable (I essentially wear them for eight hours a day), the battery is very long-lasting (multiple days of wear), and when the battery does run low they charge back up really fast! The buttons to control music and adjust volume are in kind of a weird spot, but I've never been big into using those features on any headphones I've owned, so it hasn't been a problem for me. Thanks to COVID, I now work a whole two feet from my partner, who is on voice calls constantly, so I can vouch that the noise-canceling is quite effective. It's not going to completely block out every noise, but things are comfortably muffled.

Get it from Amazon for $54.99+ (also available in white).

    19. A stylish USB desk lamp because a little light is good for productivity, and so is a built-in USB charging port.

    Urban Outfitters

Promising review: "I really like this lamp and it looks great in my room. The only problem I have with it is that the charger connected to it will only charge your phone if the lamp is turned on, and I typically charge my phone when I am sleeping. Other than that, I really recommend this product." —ava103

Get it from Urban Outfitters for $49 (available in two colors).

    20. A highly-effective screen cleaner set for wiping away all the dust, grease, and grime from the hard-fought work wars of seasons past.

    amazon.com, Amazon

This set includes an 8oz. bottle of the gentle cleaning spray and a large microfiber towel.

Promising review: "I have never written a review for any product before. The screen on my Mac was very greasy from Vaseline getting on it. I tried at least four different solutions and none worked. I was going to actually take it to a computer repair shop I was so desperate. I saw this and decided to give it a try and was amazed at how well it worked. My computer screen is like new." —Denise

Get it from Amazon for $14.99.

    21. A discreet webcam slide cover that can be applied to almost any device for the peace of mind that you're not being spied on — through your camera, anyway.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

This pack of six is universally compatible with laptops, tablets, and phones of all kinds!

Promising review: "Have worked from home for years, but in the crazy days of 2020 our company decided to do video calls regularly for the first time. With that, I needed a solution that made it easier to continue to block the webcam on my computer most of the time while not being a hassle to remove for these calls. I had been using a folded piece of paper, which was certainly easy and effective — until the wind from open windows would blow it away. So, these little guys perfectly solved the problem — it's tiny and subtle (much better looking than a folded piece of paper ;) and so easy to open/close as needed." —Hope

Promising review: "This product is great if you have a Macbook Air that just has the two USB Type-C adapters. The quality of the product feels good and not cheap whatsoever. I would recommend this product for how cheap and affordable it is too. amazon.com, amazon.com

This USB-powered ring light has three light colors and 10 different brightness levels, with an anti-scratch metal clamp.

Promising review: "The area where my computer is set up is very dim so with all the Zoom and FaceTime calls, I wanted a light that didn’t take up room on my small desk. This 6.3-inch LED light is just enough to light the area in front of my computer. It has three different white colors and 10 intensities each and the controls are inline on the cable wire. The clamp is all metal and it is really strong and takes effort to push open so I know it will hold on tight and not slip or fall off.
