April 17, 2015 is the annual Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network's (GLSEN) Day of Silence. Every April, hundreds of thousands of students take a vow of silence, to symbolically represent the silencing of LGBTQ voices through anti-LGBT bullying, harassment, and discrimination. Here are photos out of Duke University, to represent some of the many different reasons that you might choose to be silent this year. Photos by Shayan Asadi, 2014. This campaign was put together by Blue Devils United.
