    Well that's what I like to call the Maiden phase. It's all about new beginnings and energy plus enthusiasm.

    Scientifically it's called the follicular phase. Because the follicles in your ovary are prepping for ovulation.

    You've just come out of a body detox (also known as menstruation) and you feel all light, happy, and ready to get shit done!

    Your hormones align to give you major strengths in creativity and clarity of thinking.

    They're revved to help you concentrate, start new projects, and do deep research.

    Your body supports you in feeling independent and strong.

    The first half of your menstrual cycle is when you're most likely to feel like being super social, active and productive.

    You'll feel better equipped to tackle new workouts or adventurous yoga moves.

    This is the time to work long hours or learn a new skill. Take advantage of all that energy!

    All the "Maiden voyage" stuff - traveling, independent ventures, grasping new information, taking on fresh projects and learning - it all comes way easy in this time when youre body is building up to ovulation.
