Manitoba—the land of 100,000 lakes. It's home to some AMAZING beaches that you should definitely check out.

1. Grand Beach

If white sand is your thing, take a day trip to Grand Beach. Go for a dip in the clear water, see the sand dunes, or visit the boardwalk for a complete beach-vacation feel.

Where to find it: Near Grand Marais, Manitoba. 99 KM from Winnipeg.

2. Patricia Beach

Patricia Beach boasts fine sand and clear water—AND parts of it are clothing optional. You know, if you're up for that.

Where to find it: 84 KM north of Winnipeg.

3. Victoria Beach

Victoria Beach is its own little town surrounded by magnificent beaches. If you're into sailing, there's even a yacht club.

4. Gimli Beach

Gimli Beach is a beautiful beach with great amenities for families. The harbour and boardwalk offer dining and shopping, and the beach itself features a large play structure that kids will love.

Gimli also has strong Icelandic roots and hosts an annual Icelandic Festival worth checking out.

5. Falcon Lake Main Beach

Falcon Lake Main Beach is a public beach in Falcon Lake, MB. This resort community offers camping and cottages near the lake. The beach itself has a beautiful pier and boardwalk to enjoy.

6. Minnedosa Beach

A sandy beach escape, Minnedosa beach offers summer fun with good amenities. Bring out a beach towel and enjoy the sun, swim in the lake, or bring a picnic to enjoy in the designated picnic area.

7. Birds Hill Beach

Located in Birds Hill Provincial Park, Birds Hill Beach is a smaller, man-made beach that does provide a great place to swim for kids. There's clear water, a lifeguard on duty, and picnic areas.

8. Winnipeg Beach

There's lots to do in the community of Winnipeg Beach. Fun in the sand, strolls on the piers, beach volleyball, water sports—you may need to spend a few days there!

9. Pinawa Beach

Pinawa Beach, located in the small resort-community of Pinawa, MB, is a great place for water sports and boating. It has 2 boat launches so you can get your fishing on.

Where to find it: Pinawa is 110 KM from Winnepeg.

10. Clearwater Lake

Located in Northern Manitoba, Clearwater Lake is a spectacularly clear freshwater lake with sparkling white beaches. It's a perfect spot for fishing, kayaking, and camping.

Where to find it: Clearwater Lake Provincial park is about 40 KM from The Pas.

11. Pelican Lake

Pelican Lake is a large lake bordering the town of Ninette. Its beaches are perfect for a day of relaxation and swimming. Pelican Lake is also great for fishing.

12. Delta Beach

Delta Beach is on the south shore of Lake Manitoba and was flooded in 2014. While still recovering, Delta beach offers beautiful expanses of sandy lakefront.
