Iskandar in Deal With Marlborough College | Malaysia in Focus

One of Britain’s leading public schools, Marlborough College, has signed a deal with Iskandar Investment Berhad to set up Marlborough College Malaysia. It is the first time the College has set up an international venture. Scheduled to open in 2012, Marlborough College Malaysia will provide education for local and international students across Asia and is intended to help raise Iskandar’s profile as a regional hub for education. Arlida Ariff, president and CEO of Iskandar Investment, said “this catalytic project will bring benefits for the entire community – from creating job and business opportunities in Iskandar Malaysia to providing a high-quality, international educational experience in an environment which seamlessly integrates elements from both Eastern and Western culture.” Chairman of Marlborough College Council Sir Hayden Phillips said the demand for international education in Malaysia is growing. “Marlborough College is proud to be at the forefront of the current demand for international education as Malaysia continues to stand out on the global stage,’ he said.
