Improved Transport System to Increase Productivity – Minister | Malaysia in Focus

A comprehensive transport system will increase productivity and help to make Malaysia an advanced nation, says Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department. He said traffic congestion in urban areas was becoming increasingly serious. “Each time someone gets stuck in traffic jams, the country loses productivity,” he told reporters and added that the government was working on raising public transport use to reach 25 per cent by 2012.
