Seattle University's Top Relaxation Spots

Trying to find a spot on campus to relax? HAWC asked current students where their favorite place to relax or take naps was and these were the top ten places!

10. Chapel of St. Ignatius

Our beautiful, modern church is a great place to relax. The space is built for meditation, deep thinking, and self reflection which can be uplifting after a long study session.

9. Sullivan Hall School of Law

Grab a bite at The Side Bar or relax near a window in one of plush chairs. This quiet, friendly environment will let you rejuvenate so you will be ready to take on the world!

8. Seattle University Park & Championship Field

Seattle University's fields are great community gathering spaces. On the rare sunny days, you can find many students soaking up the sun by taking a nap or lounging on the fields.

7. Pigott Building

The Pigott building has lovely balcony seating area on the third floor where you can have a bird's eye view of the rest of Pigott atrium. From up there, you can watch the rest of the world go by while sipping your drink from The Bottom Line while everyone else makes their way to class.

6. The Quad

The Quad is a popular place for people to hang out. Students love this spot because of the beautiful fountain and surrounding landscaping. Cozy up next to a rock, hang out on the shaded concrete stairs, or lounge around on grassy spots with your homework or a pillow.

5. Lemieux Library & McGoldrick Learning Commons

The private study rooms are a great place to get some alone time and wind down. There are also comfortable couches and lounge areas for you to rest up after a lengthy study session.

4. Connolly Center

Students spend a lot of time taking care of themselves at they gym. Whether it be the yoga classes, Redhawk FIT, or Zumba, Seattle U students love finish the day with physical exercise.

3. Library Mall

The grassy hill outside the library is a popular spot to study and take in the sunshine. Students like this spot because of its proximity to food and well kept grass. No spot is better for watching the clouds drift by!

2. The Union Green

The Union Green is a popular place for students and Seattlites to relax. Dogs are frequent visitors and being centered on campus means there is less traffic or city noise than other places on campus.
