I Generated Rock Hard Abs Using AI, You Won't Believe How Gross They Are

Abs of steel = just literal steel.

Hi, my name is Cory Arcangel. I'm a contemporary artist ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, and I've used artificial intelligence technology to create these images of rock hard abs, which uses an AI model built on VQGAN and CLIP.

Basically, I give it a phrase such as "killer abs to die for in 30 days" and it uses some AI deep learning magic to create what it thinks that looks like. TBH, I have absolutely no idea how it all works, but what I do know is the images it makes are totally gross. Thx 2 Max — a BuzzFeed Machine Learning engineer — who helped cobble all this together! And Jonah for inviting me to mess around (feels good 2 be back posting at Buzzfeed after my brief stint here, ummmm, 15,000 years ago). Anyway, brace yourself!
