9. £7 million pounds worth of Colombian Cocaine

Wrapped up in a 25kg £1 million parcel, found on Pentreath Beach on the Lizard peninsula and 5 other parcels also washed up on five other Cornish beaches.

7. Leatherback Turtles

Not known to normally frequent UK waters but sometimes summer visitors, they can weigh up to a tonne and measure almost 3 metres in length!

Two were spotted just 100 yards off the Cornish coast at Padstow. Thought to be from a pod living off Scotland.

A container filled with millions of Lego pieces fell into the sea off Cornwall in 1997. But instead of remaining at the bottom of the ocean, they are still washing up on Cornish beaches today!

2. UK's largest ever Shark

Wayne Comben and Graeme Pullen from Hampshire caught a porbeagle, a member of the Great White family, estimated to be 3m long and 250kg. They tagged and released the shark rather than kill simply it as a trophy.
