The ad is mildly amusing, but that doesn’t matter. What does matter is that the Tumblr One Tiny Hand has become very popular in the last two months. (BuzzFeed was there with coverage soon after the launch.)
If asked, I’m sure the ad agency, Grey Mexico, will deny all culpability. But, I’m telling you, as a veteran ad douche, that the agency people were—at the least—very aware of the website as they were producing this video.
