Homemade Crock-pot Applesauce Recipe: I 100% GUARANTEE that you will never buy store bought apple sauce again after tasting this homemade applesauce recipe. It is just about the easiest damn recipe you will ever make and only requires you to throw a bunch of ingredients into your slow cooker and wait for deliciousness!

I don't know about you, but applesauce was staple of our diet growing up. The smell of it brings back memories of the family sitting around the dinner table eating my moms famous fried pork chops. I used to love pouring this over my mashed potatoes along with corn to make a little soupy concoction that was nothing short of delicious (trust me it tastes better than it sounds)!

You can go as heavy or as light on the cloves and allspice that you want. It all depends on how much flavor you want to add to your applesauce. I found that 1/4 teaspoon was perfect for me, but you may want to start with 1/8 and work your way up from there. You will also find that just a couple of hours into slow cooking your applesauce, that you can mash it with a spoon, that is how soft it becomes.

This applesauce goes perfect with Potato Latkes and in fact, I plan on making some very shortly so stay tuned!
