Couple Calls in Gay, in Support of Proterst
DENVER -- Some same-sex marriage supporters are urging people to "call in gay" Wednesday to show how much the country relies on gays and lesbians.
Organizers of "Day Without a Gay" are also encouraging people to perform volunteer work and refrain from spending money.
Bridget Brophy and her wife, Suzanne Banning, tied the knot in Canada five years ago. They said their union is recognized here and that's why they were "calling in gay."
