Though we over here at Philly Groups for Jewish Grads and Young Professionals are amped up for Mesiba 2014: Get Back to Israel (A.K.A. the party of the season) we understand that some of you need a little bit more arm twisting. Little known fact, Jason Derulo used the sample from the Balkan Beat Box song, Hermetico for his top 40 hit, Talk Dirty to Me. Balkan Beat Box is an Israeli electronica/middle eastern fusion group who happened to swing through Philly on their world tour last spring. So next time you can't help but shake your hips to that song, you can hate yourself a little less for it.

Thanks to the internet and modern technological advances, we are able to livestream the Western Wall for the entire event-- meaning 4AM-8AM Jerusalem time. And for those who are feeling inspired, we will be collecting notes for one of the three Israel trips leaving Philadelphia to take to the Wall in a few weeks.
