You are so full of energy and love spending time with friends and family, which can sometimes affect your eating habits. Due to your busy social life, it can be quite difficult to eat according to Canada’s Food Guide and get all of the suggested servings (e.g. 8-10 servings of fruits and vegetables) every day. It is also hard to cook homemade meals every day of the week, so you sometimes end up eating out, or eating convenience foods at home. Don’t forget that sometimes it can be fun and exciting to cook healthful foods with friends and family at home, which could make you feel more energized for even more socializing! Your spunky personality and love for exciting products can cause you to choose food products based on the colour and appeal of the packaging. Sometimes this is okay, however it is important to be aware of marketing tricks to fool you into eating unhealthy foods. Since you are such a social butterfly, it is important not to get too distracted by what is going on around you while you are eating. For a challenge, try eating until you are full, instead of eating until your plate is clean once in awhile! Overall, keep being your spunky and social self, and keep in mind that others’ eating habits can affect your own. Try to be the trendsetter in the group and start a healthy eating challenge among your friends and family!

You are someone who loves to eat sweets and high energy density foods. You are not a big fan of cooking your own meals or eating fruits or vegetables, but you love to eat. A challenge for you could be to explore the grocery store and try out one new fruit or vegetable a week until you find something you like! Since you have a passion for eating, there are no limits for you when it comes to how much food you can eat. Sometimes it can be important to listen to your body while you are eating, rather than to see how much you can possibly eat. The term “healthy” does not always apply to you when it is time to buy groceries, and nutrition is not your highest priority. It is always your taste buds or cravings that guide you in your food choices. Since you love to watch TV and spend time with friends, it is important to understand that these pastimes can have an impact on your eating habits. It could be fun to try watching a healthy cooking show with friends and then try to cook what you watched later on! Since you love anything and everything that is sweet, it is important to choose one or two sweet items to eat throughout the day, and to try to substitute those foods with a healthier option (e.g. swapping candies with some grapes). This could help you get even more nutrients into your body, and would help you in eating in closer alignment to Canada’s Food Guide. You are a wise, knowledge-based consumer who is always cautious of marketing tricks, and who is constantly looking out for the newest healthy foods. You aren't afraid to try out new recipes you have created, however you are always sure to apply Canada's Food Guide to your eating habits, and try to abide by this at all times. You are also able to apply your knowledge in the grocery store while you are shopping by reading labels to ensure you are buying and eating the healthiest products. You always attempt to listen to your body while eating to ensure that you are not overeating. Keep up the great eating habits!

You are typically a healthy eater, however you may abide by a specific diet (e.g., vegetarian or gluten-free), or have a dietary restriction (e.g., allergies) which could affect your eating habits. You always try to eat according to Canada’s Food Guide, however this can be difficult due to your dietary restriction. As a result of your specific needs, you often find yourself eating alone to accommodate for your needs, and sticking to family recipes which you feel work for you. Don’t be afraid to try out some new recipes or pick up a new cookbook from time to time! You are also very healthy in terms of growing some of your own vegetables in your garden, choosing nutrient-dense options when you go out to restaurants, quenching your thirst with water, and maybe even measuring out portions of your food. Keep up the healthy eating, and don’t be afraid to branch out and try new foods and recipes to keep you excited about your healthful foods!
