On your way to the forest, you take a shortcut through a dark cave but find yourselves lost with no end in sight. How do you help your party through the situation?

You finally find the exit, but it's on the other side of the cave across a lake that's infested with giant, carnivorous quipper fish! What do you do to get across?

You make your way through the cave and emerge in the forest, but you have no idea which way the bandits went. How do you find them?

After locating the bandits, you manage to catch them in an ambush! What do you do first?

Whether it be by providing magic items and powerful gadgets to their party members, or by wrecking their enemies with an array of impressive spells, artificers make a powerful ally to any party! Equally skilled in a supporting role or out on the frontlines shooting skeletons and blasting goblins with magic cannons, artificers can do it all! You want a flamethrower you can fit in your pocket? A witty robot bodyguard? An experimental elixir that probably won’t make your tonsils burst into flames? These inventive geniuses have got you covered! Now if I can only figure out which drill bit fits in here…

You should play as an artificer!

Alright, now you’ve made me MAD! Barbarians are the fury of the untamed wilderness made manifest! The most resilient and brutal of all the classes, barbarians are able to channel their rage to become even stronger, splitting skulls and taking arrows to the face without breaking a sweat! Most of them hailing from the untouched wilds far from civilization, what they lack in social skills, they more than make up for in indomitable power and unyielding determination. You don't want to be on a barbarian’s bad side, but if you can manage to tame their primal fury, a barbarian makes a loyal and powerful addition to any party! Just give me a fifteen second head-start. We want the battle to be fair, after all!

Words can hurt — mine far more so than yours! Creative and carefree, bards are able to channel magical power through the beauty of the arts. Whether by playing a haunting melody on an enchanted lyre, or by providing the party powerful prose poetry, bards are able to inspire their allies and strike fear into the hearts of their foes! Most often finding a place as healers and supporters for the party frontliners, many bards are also able to hold their own in a battle with valiant sword skills and magnificent magical attacks! Maybe I should think twice next time before picking on the awkward band kid…

You should play as a bard!

I’m not the one you should be afraid of, that would be the god who speaks through me! Pious and devout, clerics channel their powers through godly deities who reward their service and devotion. Though many find their place as party healers, the vast array of gods from which they can get their power provides clerics nearly infinite possibilities for what role they can serve to their allies! Whether it be summoning storms in the Tempest domain, setting their foes’ armor ablaze in the Forge domain, or even conjuring undead servants in the Death domain, if there’s a god who wills it, there will be a cleric to help make it manifest! Any last words, heretic?

You should play as a cleric!

I am the druid, I speak for the trees…the trees say to turn into a bear and kick some @$$! Channeling their powers through the very forces of nature itself, druids are wise beyond their years (even the old ones) and live in perfect harmony with the natural order. Their respect for nature has granted them many powerful abilities, such as the power to speak with plants and animals, cast powerful magical spells, or even turn into great beasts to tear their foes asunder! Specializing in any one of a vast number of magical circles including the Land, the Moon, the Woods, the Shepherd, and more, druids can make powerful healers or dangerous spellcasters, working equally well in a support role for their party members, or in a midline position throwing indomitable forces of wind and fire at their foes! Definitely don't litter in front of a druid (or ever)!

I cast my fist inside your ribcage! Powerful and resilient, fighters are found all throughout the world in its gladiators, vikings, samurai, knights, and anyone else who can wield a sword and take a punch! The quintessential party frontliners, fighters take hits for their allies while cleaving goblins apart without breaking a sweat! Able to choose from a number of impressive fighting styles, these players are able to use their undying fortitude to strike foes again and again without giving their enemies a moment to catch their breath! Remind me not to end up at the pointy end of a your sword, alright?

You should play as a fighter!

“Wax on, wax off…” Patient and disciplined, monks are the masters of mind and body. Having trained for years to achieve harmony with themselves and the world around them, monks are able to deliver blows matching that of any sword or axe with nothing but their bare hands and feet! Granted a powerful force known as Ki, monks are able to utilize this life energy to perform a great number of impressive feats on the battlefield! Specializing in any one of a whole host of monastic traditions, monks are able to channel the forces of nature in the Way of the Four Elements, become one with darkness in the Way of the Shadow, blast enemies dozens of feet away with a single punch in the Way of the Open Hand, and much, much more! Maybe I shouldn’t have skipped that meditation class…

You should play as a monk!

Behind me, friends! I shall show these honorless curs what it really means to be a hero! Selfless and disciplined, Paladins are shining warriors that use both unmatched weapon techniques and incredible magical spells and abilities to both smite their foes and defend their allies! A rare case of a class that is both a supporter to their party and a frontliner on the battlefield, paladins are devoted to an oath of conduct that demands they protect the weak and deliver the world from the evils that wish to destroy it, and many would rather die than break this sacred oath. The quintessential knights in shining armor, paladins make both fearsome warriors on the battlefield and cherished friends to the people they serve. Now if I can just get them to stop ratting me out every time I tell church ushers I don’t have any money…

I swear we’re not lost guys! I’ve been in these woods countless times…I think. Cunning and resourceful, rangers are the perfect companions to have anytime you’re venturing through unfamiliar wilderness or you’re tracking down a great beast that needs to be felled! Specializing in a favored type of foe to hunt down, rangers make legendary dragon slayers, giant killers, beast hunters, and much more! Choosing from a host of different special conclaves and archetypes that grant them elite skills and powers, they make an excellent frontline defense for the party while also being able to blend into their surroundings and strike from the bushes with a variety of powerful magic spells and abilities! Natural explorers, rangers are able to navigate their party through the most harsh and unforgiving wilderness without breaking a sweat! Just like my grandma when she had to walk to school 60 years ago.

You should play as a ranger!

“My parents died at a young age and I grew up in an orphanage…” Sly, cunning, and charismatic, rogues make up the thieves, swindlers, assassins, and ne’er-do-wells of the world. But they’re not all seedy and can also be found among the ranks of everything from silent ninjas, to seafaring swashbucklers, to magnificent stage magicians! Masters of sleight of hand and sneak attacks, rogues serve a special role in the party as both midline fighters and skilled specialists, pulling off impressive feats such as disarming dangerous traps, sneaking through the shadows without a trace, or even nicking valuable treasures off of foes to use against them! No party is complete without a rogue, and while many are looking out for number one, a great many more make powerful and trusted allies to those who can lend them their trust in return and prove their loyalty. Hey wait — where did my wallet go?!

You should play as a rogue!

Wizards are nerds, I get my power from my grandpa! Drawing their magic from their family lineage, sorcerers are blessed with innate, arcane powers granted by their ancient bloodline. Be it through dragon blood that runs through their veins, an ancestor that was once bathed in the raw magic of the moon, or an inner bond to the forces of chaos and entropy that underlie the universe, sorcerers are able to draw on an ancient well of power rooted deep in their ancestry to create devastating magical effects. Best kept on the backlines to cast powerful spells from afar, what sorcerers lack in strength and endurance they more than make up for in unbelievable power and an enormous range of utility spells to choose from. Whether they’re blasting goblins into the sky with explosive fireballs, or creating mind-boggling illusions to mislead their foes, a sorcerer is an indispensable addition to any adventuring party! Now, if I can just cast Enhance Ability without turning you into a plant this time, we should be good to go!

You should play as a sorcerer!

I call upon the ancient powers of the Elder Gods to banish my foes to the Nine Hells…and also to help make this sandwich! Granted their powers from a mighty and mysterious entity known as a patron, warlocks are often where you’ll find the seedier side of spellcasters. Whether they’re dominating minds with the power of the Old Ones, crafting vile and vicious hexes with the help of the ancient forces of darkness, or raising an undead army with the sickening strength of the Lich-Queen, warlocks’ power is nothing to shake a stick at. But they’re not all bad, and many warlocks draw strength from ancient archfey or celestial gods to help combat evil and corruption. But their main selling point comes in the form of invocations — magical boons granted by their patrons that enable them to empower their spells, create unmatched magical effects, or master new skills and abilities in minutes! Best suited to the midlines to cast spells from a distance while protecting the wizards and healers, warlocks are the quintessential battle mages that every party needs! Oh shoot, am I already out of spell slots?

You should play as a warlock!

Alright, just let those skeletons get a little closer, aaaaaand…BOOM! Wizards! You know ‘em, you love ‘em, you can always count on them to OH MY GOD ARE YOU READING IN THE MIDDLE OF BATTLE AGAIN!? Not the type to take shortcuts, these masters of the arcane get their powers not from a pact with a god or some ancient ancestor’s bloodline, but rather from years and years of intensive study into the magical arts. Equipped with a near-limitless supply of different spells to choose from, wizards can do it all! You want to turn someone into a frog? Done. You want to decode that ancient text on the wall? Done. You want to curse your foes to drop down and do the worm in the middle of combat? DOUBLE DONE! Best placed at the back of the party to cast spells at a distance, wizards can decimate their foes with elemental explosions, turn greedy bandits into wriggling worms, or bring skeletons back from the dead to tear their enemies limb from limb! Now sit back, relax, and sip a tankard of fresh ale as you watch the goblins before they magically disappear! Well— if turning them into a well-done goblin steak counts as disappearing.
