4(ish) Things That Need You On #GivingTuesday

I know all you little philanthropists are OH SO EXCITED about Giving Tuesday, but we are halfway through and perhaps you have yet to do any giving! Don't panic, I've got your back. Below are just a few things that need you. Just a few, I'm trying to make this whole giving thing easier, not harder. But please, no matter how you choose to give, remember that your contribution always matters. It does. Really.

1. The Animals Need You

I am personally a huge advocate of animal rights, whether we are talking about factory farming, wildlife preservation, pet neglect/abuse, or abuse through captivity. Unless you have a heart of stone, I bet some furry, scaly, feathery, or otherwise coated creature would be a compelling recipient for your generosity! 2. People and Other Organisms That Drink Water Need You

We all know that clean water exists, and that we need it, and that some people don't have it, but what we don't all know is that the "some" people who don't have it is actually 783 million people. That's a whole freakin' lot of people. Check out the links below to see what you can do about that. Also, if that made you thirsty and you are now in the process of chugging a big bottle of fresh, clean, delicious water, please recycle said bottle when you are finished. The environment needs you too, but we will get there.

How serene, how peaceful. And most likely gone. I mean, This particular part may not be gone, but most of it is gone. We ARE aware that the oxygen we need to survive depends on these pretty green things actually being alive, right? Anyway, you've heard it before and you'll hear it again: SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT. The earth is important, we live here. This is a big problem, and one we all have to be on board with to make a difference.

4. Victims of Violence Need You

This one is a tough one. It seems like it should be an easy fix, but given that every few decades we need another anti-violence icon to remind us that you can't just attack people, we have to assume it isn't that easy. We need more voices. More people that publicly denounce violence against women, children, LGBT, minorities, etc. More people that refuse to let it go, to be silent because it's easier that way.
