I am thiiiis close to buying a pet for company. So hopefully this fills that void.

Due to COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus, a lot of people are stuck at home practising self-isolation and social distancing.

There's only so many times you can watch Brooklyn 99 on repeat, right?

But never fear! Because, while zoos around the world may have closed their doors, there's quite a few who have started live streaming their animals.

And I am sooo excited to become emotionally attached to some cutie-pies.

There's Taronga TV, which is live streaming from Taronga Zoo Sydney and Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo in Australia.

They've got live cams for the tigers, elephants and seals, as well as keeper talks and live feeds and shows! Time to get up close and personal with some of your favourites!

Melbourne Zoo and Werribee Open Range Zoo in Victoria, Australia are also live streaming their animals, so would-be visitors don't have to miss out.

Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden have a program called Home Safari, that I would have FROTHED OVER when I was a kid.

Each day, they do a Facebook live video, that introduces a new animal to the viewers. It's great if you have kids, because each video comes with an activity they can do while watching — so it's educational too!

Don't worry if you can't tune into the live videos because of the time difference — they upload them all onto YouTube, so you can watch them in your own time!

These videos may not be a direct result of COVID-19 and they might not be coming from a zoo, but it's still a live stream involving animals, which I am here for. They upload the videos to their YouTube channel, so no worries if you can't tune in for the full three-hour long safari, or if the time difference is a bit of a pain.
