    20. The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine

cover of "The Last Mrs. Parrish" by Liv Constantine

It's always fun to lose yourself in the fabulous, complicated worlds of rich people (think Big Little Lies, Little Fires Everywhere) and The Last Mrs Parrish will have you consumed in the lives of two women living in an exclusive Connecticut town from the very start. Amber feels her life is way too dull and starts to grow envious of Daphne Parrish, her devastatingly beautiful friend married to a real-estate mogul. Amber begins to insert herself in the Parrishes' lives and starts to grow extremely close to the family...maybe a bit too close. Broken up into three parts, the first is told from Amber's perspective, then we hear from Daphne, and then the two perspectives come together for a very satisfying and riveting conclusion. I read this after I saw a reviewer compare it to Patricia Highsmith's The Talented Mr. Ripley (one of my favorite thrillers) and the comparison was spot-on.
