Dogs may be man's best friend but it doesn't make them good drivers!
On March 4th at around 11:00 a.m., a golden Labrador in Mankato, Minnesota apparently took a semi-truck for a spin across North River Drive. The truck subsequently crashed into the Kwik Trip gas station.
Eyewitness David Stegora provided this insight to the Mankato Free Press:
"I heard the tree snap and I thought somebody decided to turn around, but then it just kept going forward," he said.
Stegora reported confusion upon seeing a truck moving as though without a driver. This question was soon answered when the dog popped his face through the window.
It seems that the truck had been left in neutral and the dog was able to throw it into drive. This was quite an impressive feat for the canine, however it seems as though his parking skills are not up to snuff.
Police Commander Dan Schisel said the State Patrol confirmed the bizarre incident, reporting
"All I know is it was a Labrador."
Currently it is unclear if this precocious pooch or its owner will end up in the doghouse for this incident. However, I think it is safe to say that some human drivers are not much more skilled than this Lab!
