If you've ever seen Grease (1978) you probably remember a little thing like, oh, I don't know, A CAR FLYING at the end of the film.
Well, since the dawn of the film's existence, every Grease fan* has been rattling their brain trying to figure out why that freaking car flies at the end of the movie because, well, it doesn't make much sense.
But ah ha! That's where you're wrong. In fact, the ending of Grease makes total and complete sense, and I'm here to tell you why.
You see, it all starts before the car race between the T-Bird's and their arch rivals, The Scorpions. While Ms. Murdock is tuning up Greased Lightning's engine, she tells Kenickie that if the car was in "better condition it would fly."
Anyway, at this point in the movie Danny and Sandy aren't talking to each other, Kenickie and Rizzo are kind of on the outs, and the fate of the T-Birds and their prized possession (Greased Lightening) are hanging in the balance.
(bear with me for a second, I'm going somewhere here, I promise).
