21 Songs Glee Would Have Done JUSTICE

ABC's "Glee" ran from 2009 to 2015. It covered MANY popular songs, from classic rock to modern pop, to (sadly) 90s rap. But there's still some songs that would've fit the characters and storylines so well, that we were completely ROBBED of. And some songs that came out after the show would've 100% been covered as well, but they were a few years too late. I've gone through most of the main club members (as well as couples or groups) and chosen a song that each would've KILLED if they were given the chance. Do you agree? "This is Me" from "The Greatest Showman -Unique Adams

It was a toss-up between her and Mercedes for this one. Though both have the vocal talent and stage presence for this song, Unique has the best connection to the story. I feel like it would fit perfectly with her journey of finding strength and courage to be who she wants.

"She Used to Be Mine" from "Waitress"- Marley Rose

Marley always put such emotion into her performances. With her struggle with an eating disorder in season 4, I feel like she could perfectly capture the heartache and insecurity in this Sarah Bareilles song.

"You've Got A Friend in Me" from "Toy Story"- Noah Puckerman

Though this isn't his typical style of song, Puck would tribute this song to Finn after his death. It fits their friendship dynamic really well. And whether you like his character or not, it would for sure be a tear- jerker.

"Alejandro" by Lady Gaga- Santana Lopez

Let's all agree- Santana NAILED "Bad Romance". She's got the slightly devious attitude to perform a sassy number like this one, especially in season 4.

"D.A.N.C.E." by Justice- Britney S. Pierce

I'm really surprised they never had Britt sing this song. If Britney was teaching the Booty Camp instead of Mike, this could be a fun montage of her trying to teach the New Directions to let loose and find their groove!

"Girlfriend" by Avril Lavigne- Kitty Wilde

Come on, how much more perfect could this song be? Kitty is extremely jealous at first when Marley starts to date Jake. This would create some interesting conflict as she tries to tempt Jake into getting back together.

"I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith- Blaine Anderson

What a cute love song! Picture this- the lesson of the week is "Rock Ballads". Blaine and Kurt had been drifting after the conflicts with Sebastian. He wants to find the perfect song to show his devotion to Kurt. At the end of the episode, he brings him to the auditorium and wows him with his performance.

"Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift- The Unholy Trinity

We totally needed another number from these three. Britney could nail Taylor's vocals as the lead, with Santana and Quinn providing some killer backup. To be honest, I think this would've been a better fit for them then "Problem".

"Just What I Needed" by The Cars- Finn Hudson

Finn's voice would be an amazing fit for this song. He was always great with classic rock, too. This would probably happen during his and Rachel's engagement, and he could sing it to her to help with her decision.

"everything i wanted" by Billie Eilish- Quinn Fabray

Let's admit it- Glee would've had a BALL with Billie's songs if they were out back then. And who better to sing a song about despair and hardship then Quinn? After realizing that her Yale boyfriend isn't how she pictured, Quinn begins to question her decisions, and she sings this song to all her former classmates who have her back.

"Where the Streets Have No Name" by U2- Rachel Berry

To be honest, I'm not quite sure why she would sing this. It just suits her. This song has some pretty challenging belts and notes that only Rachel could pull off.

"Fame" by Irene Cara- Mercedes Jones

For those of you who don't know, "Fame" was a popular TV musical back in the 80s. It would've been a really cool episode theme back in season two or three. Mercedes needed some more attention, especially in season two. She has the pizazz to perform an energetic 80s song!

"Banana Pancakes" by Jack Johnson- Sam Evans

Sam and his guitar. That's all I need to say.

"Two Princes" by The Spin Doctors- Ryder Lynn and Jake Puckerman

Instead of "I Am Superman", the two of them should've done a duet to this song. It's the perfect number to show the two of them competing for Marley's attention.

"Good Old Fashioned Loverboy" by Queen- Kurt Hummel

I mean really, Kurt SO has the vocal talent to tackle a Queen song. It also has a touch of the Broadway feel and dramatic flair that he's so known for.

"Shallow" by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper- Rachel and Finn

Finnchel has the right amount of cliche romance and dramatic flair to perform this song. Not to mention that Rachel would pour her heart out with that powerful chorus.

"The Sign" by Ace of Base- Tina Cohen-Chang

Tina has the innocence and friendly attitude (at least before season 4) to jam to a 90s girl pop song. Besides, she deserved more songs in the first few seasons!

"Honey I'm Good" by Andy Grammar- Artie Abrams

Artie was shown to be a bit of a player in season 5. I think it would've been interesting for him to get a committed relationship and have to try to stay away from other girls. And I know country music is a bit questionable sometimes, Artie would actually sound pretty good in this song!

"ME!" by Taylor Swift and P!ATD- Kurt and Blaine

Though the slow, romantic Klaine duets were all cute, I think it couldn't hurt to have more energetic songs with the two of them! And I know this song is kinda polarizing, but hear me out- an episode in season 6 about their honeymoon. They learn to let loose and have some fun!

"It's Tricky" by Run DMC- Mr Schuester

Okay, I'm not saying this would've been the best number, but it certainly would fit well in the first season. When they're trying to figure out who they are as a club, and getting out of those cringey show tunes. Mr Schue would probably use this song to get the rest of the club to loosen up and get to know each other.

"Disturbia/SOS" by Rihanna- The Trouble-Tones

To finish off our list, we have a number sung by Glee's most iconic, all-female group. They only used a few of Rihanna's songs on the show, but in my opinion, she needed a whole episode. And as we all can agree, they were the masters of mashups.
