7 Worst Client Thank You Gifts Ever

Everyone loves thank you gifts. Right? Well, most of the time. Except when those thank you gifts are awkward and they’re given to a client or customer. If you’re considering one of these 7 horrible thank you gifts, you’d be better off thanking your customers with something traditional like a gift basket or cookies. Trust us, you might end up losing them if you do.

1. Lingerie or underwear.

This should be self explanatory but we’ve heard stories. If you’re considering this, just don’t.

2. Self help books.

Even well meaning self help books might be taken offensively. Keep the self help books to yourself.

3. Fruit cake.

Does anyone actually like fruit cake?

4. Anything that's been used.

Anything that’s being regifted counts as well. If you don’t value your client enough to actually buy them something, don’t bother getting them anything at all.

5. The Bible.

Or anything else religious, for that matter. Unless your business happens to be a church.

6. As Seen on TV items.

Your client might not think that As Seen On TV Chia pet is as awesome as you do. They’ll probably just throw it away.

7. Handmade gifts.

Save the handmade items for your family and close personal friends. Your clients won’t think it’s cute and they’ll just think you’re lame.
