I'm Laughing At This Story Of How WWE All-Star Paige Met The Rock

I wouldn't know who "DJ" is either!

In celebration of the release of Fighting With My Family — a biographical film based on the story of two-time Divas Champion winner Paige and her rise to WWE stardom — we sat down with the wrestling legend to talk all about her firsts:

When we asked Paige about the first time she met The Rock, the story did NOT disappoint:

It all happened WrestleMania 2014, when she was told "DJ" wanted to meet with her and she was CLEARLY not on nickname terms with The Rock quite yet:

Paige: It was at WrestleMania 2014. Someone came up to me and they were like, "Hey! DJ wants to speak to you." So I was like, "Who's that?" Felt like an idiot because they were like, "Dwayne Johnson..." I was like, "Oh well, f*ck, duh."

And just like any of us would've reacted, she had a mild freak-out trying to figure out what to say to THE Dwayne Johnson:

Paige: I was like, "What the hell am I going to stay to this guy? He's one of my heroes." When I first saw him, I was like, "Yup, you're as magical in person as you are in TV."

In a quick twist of events, "DJ" told her he wanted to make a movie (aka Fighting With My Family) about her life, which left her in obvious tears:

Paige: Then, he ended up telling me that he was going to make a movie on my family and I was already crying my eyes out.

AND THEN, he told her she was going to debut and WIN the Diva's Championship the following day 😭:

Paige: Straight after that story, he was like, "And by the way, you're going to be debuting and winning the Diva's Championship tomorrow." I was like, "WHAT?!"

And the rest is history!
