Whether I have $1 or $1,000 — you can bet your butt I'll be spending it on my cats.
The fountain is super, super quiet unless it needs to be refilled in which case it gurgles. I honestly like that, though, as it's impossible to miss so I know I won't ever let it run completely dry. It also has a soft blue light that really comes in handy at night.
Promising review: "Love that this constantly rotates the water and has a filter built in. It can be so tedious not only replenishing all the dog bowls but cleaning them out when they get hair or saliva or dust in them. This holds 2L and self cleans in a way. I'll still clean it out for my own sake but can think about refilling and cleaning a lot less regularly. I have it hooked up to a smart plug so it runs during the day and turns off automatically at night when no one is in the room. It's really quiet and relaxing — I have this one in my home office. But when it gets too low it will gargle and get's really loud tbh. Anyways, the dog took a while to accept it but now gladly uses it at will — still prefers his other water bowls but not sure if that's just due to habit and familiarity or actual preference." —Packy

Both of my cats love this but one, in particular, just can't get enough of this thing — especially in the middle of the night. More than once, I've woken up to her *punching* it and sliding it across the living room floor. She also loves to flip it over so it stands on the smallest tier and idk why but sure??
Promising review: "An instant hit in the house! My two highly energetic kittens loved the toy from the moment I unpacked it. I was thinking to get a similar cat chase toy with a scratching pad but I settled for this one at last and it may have been a better idea! It's a good toy for a multiple cat household as it has three tiers. A relief to know that the kittens can occupy themselves when nobody is home as this is neither powered by batteries or their humans. If only they stop attacking and my bathtub drainer when I am gone! Eww dudes! Highly recommended." —Tammy S.

This is inexplicably my cat Clementine's favorite thing in the whole wide world. Whenever I think of Linus from the Peanuts, I think of his blanket, and whenever I think of Clemmy, I think of her string on a stick.
Promising review: "My husband says, 'It’s just a strip of cloth on a stick!' Yet our two boys know the cloth has just the right pattern, strength, and floatiness to make it fascinating to cat brains! When the strip is shaken rapidly in midair over their heads, the pattern appears to strobe and they go wacky! Good jumping exercise!" —dc99

My kittens were only six months old when I got them and they were used to living with 10+ other cats so I wasn't sure how they'd do on their own while I was at work. For the first few months, I used this to check in on them while I was gone. It has a motion-detecting sensor so you can enable notifications from the app whenever it recognizes motion. I had that feature on at first, but then my cats quickly learned what the camera was and started staring directly into it so I got notifications approx. every two seconds.
Promising review: "What would I do without my Wyze? It's easy to use and in the time I've had it, the software updates are significantly awesome. I caught my landlord sneaking into my apartment, being weird and looking at things, and he didn't see the camera at all because of where I placed it. Aside from that awful drama, I've also managed to watch some adorable video of my cat while I'm not home. I tried setting up the camera to watch my boa constrictor in her tank at night, but it doesn't compute images through glass very well (the night vision works great though, regardless it couldn't pick up movement through glass). I love that I can check in anytime on my home and the best part of it all is having a microphone. I love checking in and calling out to my cat and she loves it too (although she probably finds it more confusing). I highly recommend this camera for anyone wanting security without spending a fortune. You can easily rotate the camera to catch almost any angle you want. Definitely an amazing inexpensive home camera!" —Sabra

I recently bought this after seeing it in many a BuzzFeed post (thanks, shopping colleagues!) and it is so worth it. My cats shed like it is their freaking job and I just can't keep up with it. One of them loves their regular brush but I have to empty it every two seconds and the other is terrified at just the sight of it. With this, I can just pretend I'm going in for a normal ol' petting session and they enjoy it!
Promising review: "I have a long-haired Maine Coon and he absolutely LOVES this! Literally begs for it! And I'm getting waaaayyyy more hair off than the standard brushes ever could! For $7 and Prime one-day shipping, you just can't beat this!" —Jazzy

I've had this toy for ~two years now and even though the catnip has long warn off, it's still my cat Salty's favorite toy. She chases it up and down the hall (it has great weight so it's easily toss-able) and she likes to lick and groom the feathers as if they were another cat and I just find that SO freaking cute.
Promising review: "Over the years we have had several cats and every one of them has had their own carrot. I don't know what it is about these carrots but all of our cats love them. Occasionally I will see a green feather floating through the air so I know they have been playing with them. Great toy for all cats." —murrielsett
Cat Person is a small feline-focused brand from Lambert Wang and Jimmy Wu — two cat lovers who were concerned about what was in their pet's food and why cat products were always hidden away in the back of pet stores. Their dry (and wet) foods are packed with just a handful of straightforward, healthy ingredients like duck, turkey, and peas which provide fiber, and vitamins A, B, C, and K. One thing missing? Fillers like potatoes, corn, rice, and wheat.
I recently switched my cats over to this and they much prefer it to their old food. In fact, they're excited whenever I add more to their bowl.

In case you haven't picked up on it yet, my cats are ~literally~ my life and if I allow myself to think about them going missing for even a millisecond, I will have a nervous breakdown. I had my cats microchipped when they were little but I also bought them these personalized collars — from Petshine, an Etsy shop with all sorts of custom goods not only for cats, but dogs too — just in case. Clementine is 10 pounds and Salty is 12 and I found the small fits them both perfectly (and with room to spare). I purposely went with a non-breakaway collar because my cats have escaped other ones in the past and so far these have been much more secure.
Promising review: "Absolutely in loveeee with this collar. Since it's from overseas, I knew it'd take a lil bit to arrive. Nonetheless, it is perfectly perfect! The engraving is lovely. I also like the buckle design, it is not a breakaway — which I was looking for. So be a little more cautious with younger cats. Thanks again!" —Lydia Rhomberg

My cat Clementine simply cannot cope when I have to work during the week. If I'm on my desktop, she's in my lap, and if I'm on my laptop, she tries to lay on top of my keyboard. With this little sling, I can keep her in my lap comfortably and she's not in the way. I've never brought her outside in it, but it does also have a little clip that can attach to a collar and lots of reviewers mention using it to transport their kitty to the vet!
Promising review: "I initially bought this for my Pomeranian, and yes I do use it for him since he prefers to be carried in crowded/noisy places (AKA pet stores), however... Just for fun I decided to see if one of my cats would get in it. To my surprise, one of them LOVES it. Whenever my Pom and cat see me pick up the sling, they both run to get put in it. I don't actually take my cat anywhere with it (other than out to the mailbox), but he loves hanging out in there while I do stuff around the house. The sling does a good job of supporting their weight without putting a strain on my back. Excellent value for the money!" —mandi s.

My apartment gets soooo cold in winter and my cats spend a whole lot of time on my bed which is next to two windows that let in a lot of cool air. As such, I bought two sweaters for them to wear while they hangout — including this leopard print one. While they certainly didn't enjoy wearing them at first, they came around.
Promising review: "This sweater is absolutely perfect. The size chart was accurate — my little Bingley is a size medium. The sweater is not only trés chic but also very soft and warm. My baby needs haircuts because his fur gets too long and thick for him to clean and a quick trim and a sweater is much less traumatizing than frequent baths, brushing, and blow outs. This is his first sweater and it took him a few minutes to adjust to it – he was shy to show it off at first but now he can be cute and cozy all winter. LOVE IT!" —M.B., Los Angeles

My cats go WILD for these. So much so that I now give it to them like once a month because they will hunger strike for them if they know they're in the house. So far, we've tried the sockeye salmon, shrimp in chicken broth, and chicken and butternut squash which is, surprisingly, their favorite.
Promising review: "Ok my cat is absurdly spoiled. I tell him regularly that he’s a brat and that there are starving cats who will eat pate, but he doesn’t care. He’s almost 10 and recently he really only eats the gravy/liquid from his wet foods. I tried Friskies gravy sensations, had to give them away. Same with Fancy Feast gravy lovers and Fancy Feast broths. He would look at me, disgusted, like I’d offended him by even bringing the bowl by him, and then ignore the food until I threw it out. Sometimes, he would lick the top a few times and leave the shreds of meat. He eats these 'soups' like a Hoover vacuum. I’ve actually timed it and he can eat one in less than a minute. The vet says there’s nothing wrong, he’s just a pig. He’s never even competed for food, we’ve had him since he was six weeks old. I’d post a pic of the food but I can’t open one without being bombarded by cat yells. They look kind of like gritty cream sauce (ew) and smell like all canned cat food, vaguely fishy." —Cat

I bought this after seeing it in a TikTok video and if you have playful cats (or ones who love to attack your feet under the covers while you sleep), there's a good chance they'll love it as much as mine! It comes with a few different attachments and two noise settings — one for no noise (but be warned it isn't silent — it still makes a whirring mechanical noise) and one for chirping. My cats like to cheat by putting their paws into the holes and wrestling it out but it's held up well and they haven't broken it thus far!
PSA: It takes four C batteries which don't come included so make sure you buy those, too! (I got these Amazon Basics ones and they've worked well.)
Promising review: "I have a cat who is quite particular about the toys he plays with. Barely anything grabs his attention. I saw a commercial for this and then found it on Amazon. All I can say is, finally! I've finally found something that my cat is interested in! At first he was curious and watched it before deciding to pounce on it. I've noticed other reviewers stating the item they received is too fast. I didn't have that issue at all and the speed was actually perfect. My cat loves the feather attachment. I can't wait to try out the mouse attachment next." —Anthony

Sleeping and being nosy are two of my cats' favorite activities so they were instantly drawn to this hammock. I have it on a window that faces our backyard so they can watch birds, people, and trash that just floats by (<3 you Brooklyn). It's very sturdy and we haven't had any issues with it falling.
Promising review: "Epic!!! I have a cat window bed that has top cable top mount support and THIS design with bottom post mount support is soooooooooooo much better!! The bottom mount support allows for 100% unobstructed jump entry, it has a longer bed, and it just looks better without the top mount cables. Both of my cats love it so much that I’m purchasing another one to replace their old bed. I'll possibly stagger them on my sliding glass door!! Epic!!" —Diggslife

When my cats were itty bitty kittens, they used to eat out of ramekin-style bowls but as they got bigger, it was apparent they didn't like this set up anymore. With these bowls, they don't have to hunch and since they're wide and shallow, their whiskers don't rub against the sides of their bowls as they eat.
Promising review: "I realized our cats would both occasionally stop eating and have a bit of a wheezing cough for a few minutes that looked and sounded very dramatic. We had to calm them until it was over, and it was stressful. It occurred to me they were having to eat pretty much at the floor level, and I had read somewhere they should be eating up a bit higher off the floor. I got these to see if the cough would stop if they were eating a bit higher. I'm thrilled to say that did the trick. Neither of them have had the cough again while eating since we started with these bowls about a month ago. Not even once! I originally thought of just propping their normal bowls up higher, but one of them constantly tries to bury the bowl when she doesn't eat all of her dinner. She would knock the bowl over making a mess. Super glad we tried these out. I bought one set and when it was successful I bought two more so I could rotate them. We clean them using the dishwasher, just not every day. We also use them for their dry food and their water now as well. GREAT product! Sturdy and I think they're going to last us a long long time." —PBV

My cats used to track litter alllllll over the house and no matter how often I swept, it was always there. In the living room, in my bedroom, even up on the couch. 🤮 That stopped as soon as I got this mat. Now, my cats step out of their litter box, wipe their feet on this, and voila! Clean toe beans! Plus, once it fills up, it's super easy to empty as it's designed like an envelope with one open end.
Promising review: "We no longer have litter scattered throughout the house. I just have to remember to empty it. Nice looking and effectively hides the litter it collects. Just place it the to the side your kitty hops out of the box on, as they never leap out of the side intended for exiting! :)" —CharleezMom

The bags zips from the front and the top and it comes with a super comfy fleece pad. My cats definitely aren't fans of travel, but they are much more comfortable in these bags than those hard shell plastic ones. I usually sit them next to each other so they look at each other during the ride.
Promising review: "I have a 16-pound cat with motion sickness. I bought this to replace another carrier (also new) because my cat pooped and puked in that one. The first carrier was a backpack and I thought it would make it easier for me to carry him. BIG MISTAKE. My cat hated being in that carrier. That carrier jostled him too much so he ended up pooping twice and puking once in a span of 20 minutes (how long it took us to get from ticket counter to our gate). But this carrier right here saved my life on the trip back! My cat tolerated the jostling better since he was able to lay flat instead of sitting up. And it’s a lot roomier than the backpack carrier even though they have the same measurements. I was hesitant about the quality at first since this was cheaper than the backpack carrier but I was pleasantly surprised to see how durable it was! The removable bottom has a plank of wood inside it and I think that gave my cat a sense of better stability compared to the other carrier. It says on the description it’s for pets up to 15 pounds, but my cat is 16 pounds and this carrier was still able to handle his weight just fine! I didn’t worry about the strap snapping or breaking, it felt very secure. My cat didn’t complain even once while he was in this, which also meant no pooping and puking and trips to the bathroom for impromptu cat baths! I flew United and this fit perfectly under the seat. If you have a cat who can’t tolerate being jostled around and/or gets anxious on car rides, I highly recommend this carrier." —mrsjaypark

I got two of the 33-quart containers and they make life so much easier. Since I store my cats' litter in a different room than their litter boxes (reminder: I live in NYC and have no room!), I am able to just roll it over whenever I clean out their litter box.
Promising review: "I got this so I didn't have to drag a 30-pound bag out of this tiny-sized cupboard every time that I needed to refill my cats' food containers. It is great. I found a perfect spot for it. It maneuvers great, keeps the food fresh, and keeps nosy cats out of it, too! I love my container. It will save my back so much work." —Wendy Schlickeiser

My family had quite a few cats when I was growing up and never once did any of them sleep in a bed (other than ours, of course). I bought this one assuming they probably wouldn't touch it but to my surprise, they loved it immediately! I even ended up buying a second one so they wouldn't get jealous of each other.
Promising review: "My cat loves this bed. Perfect shape and size for her. The bottom is a little puffy so it doesn’t sit flat but we put it on the foot of our chaise anyway so it doesn’t matter. She’s been sleeping and lounging in it since the day we got it. My cat is small, 7.5 pounds and long haired, for reference. Probably would be great for a small breed dog as well." —Tasha

Both of my cats took to this as soon as we got it. They store their toys in there, nap in there, and make a wholeeee lot of biscuits. They have a few beds that they use but this one seems to be their favorite and I think the high walls are definitely why. Sometimes they use the sides as a pillow and other times they bury their heads into the interior and curl up in a little ball. My only complaint is that they don't sell one in my size. 😞
Promising review: "When I bought one of these, I thought 'They have 18 unused beds all over the place. Why do you think they'll use this one?' OMG, was I wrong! It came, I opened it and just tossed it on the floor. Immediately, Sassy was in it and slept in it all night. I put it on the couch and Magic crawled in. And Sassy cried and yowled. I ordered another. They're used every day and night. Now I need a third — Magic just had major dental work done so I put his bed on my bed so I could keep an eye on him that first night... Molly took it over, so Magic took Sassy's and Sassy tried to beat Molly up to get her bed back. Ended up with 2 a.m. zoomies. *sigh*" —oreosmeow

Tbh I saw these on TikTok and bought them immediately. My cats LOVE them and immediately ambush me whenever I pull them out of the cabinet. I like that they don't have any grains, preservatives, or artificial flavors or colors. They also provide extra hydration which is great for cats who don't drink a whole lot of water.
Promising review: "Now I haven't tasted it myself but from my cat's reaction, she loves it. She does not mind her manners at all when she sees the tube come out. I think she would rip my arm off the get to it if she could. She enjoys all the flavors. I started off letting her lick it from the tube but she got a bit messy slobbering all over it and me so now I squeeze some on a little plate and let her go to town. I sometimes use it to get her to eat her food but she is clever. She licks it off the food and leaves the apparently nasty food there. Anyway, I recommend them. My cat can be picky but she loves — and that is not a strong enough word — these." —Tracy Brethorst

I live in a second-story apartment in NYC so I really don't have many options when it comes to cat litter. With Amazon's subscribe and save, though, I can get a 40-pound bag delivered right to my door so I don't have to carry it back from a store or even up my own stairs! If you live in a multi-cat household, I think it's especially worthwhile because while those little two-pound bags are easy to carry, they go reallyyyy fast. This stuff also clumps up SO well and keeps odor at bay which is a major blessing.
Promising review: "I can hardly believe how well it does the job. It eliminate odors and absorbs excellently. I will only buy this litter from now on and my cat 💘s it. P.S.: I've tried at least 10 kinds of cat litter and they are very costly. This one's price is just right and works in every way I need it to. Thank you!" —Paula Stokes

My cats shed like it's their full-time job and let me tell you — this thing is amazing. I used to vacuum my bed/rug/their favorite chair multiple times a week and follow that up with a traditional lint roller that I'd have to use 10 to 15 sheets in one go. With this nifty tool, I give whatever I'm cleaning a few good rolls and then empty out enough fur to felt them few cat toys (I don't *actually* do that, but I could if I wanted to).
Promising review: "I've had it in my possession for like two hours and I've cleaned everything. The couch, the blinds, the cat tree pad, the chair, I'm obsessed. I feel like this thing should win an award for being so awesome. I feel like it should be in raffle baskets and giveaways and silent auctions for every event that highlights 'things cat people need.' It's better than those sticky rollers, it's better than the one-directional velvet wand thing that I always use the wrong way and make a mess. It's the best. I don't have any 'before' pictures because as soon as I started rolling stuff I went crazy." —Meowser

Meowy Janes is a New Jersey-based small business that specializes in catnip alternatives. They work with sustainable, family-owned farms to source their natural products.
I recently tried some of these out with my cats and they were a hit! TBH they've never really been super into catnip — they'll play with it but they don't go wild — so I was excited to see they were into these. They bat them around, rub their faces all over them, and ultimately, when they're done, hide them under a chair or in their cat condo so they can come back to them later.
Promising review: "I have two cats, one special needs almost blind kitty, and one very lovey-dovey, very vocal kitty. The special needs kitty has not warmed up to these yet, but she usually needs extra time with new things. But my talkative kitty just loves them! I scraped off some bark as instructed, and she gnawed, tossed, chased and altogether enjoyed them." —Grace Cook

It took a few days for my cats to warm up to this, but once they did, they were enamored. Whenever I can't find them, chances are they're in here. They like to use it as a space to spy on us because they seemingly think they can see us but we can't see them? Man they're so weird but I love 'em. Also, I gotta say that I loveee that there is zero assembly required — you just pop it out of a box. The sphere is also pretty rigid, so it stands up well to scratching, rubbing, and general rough play.

This thing is massive. Like really, really big. That — combined with the front-opening lid — makes it really easy to clean, though. My cats also love it way more than their other normal-sized box. In fact, they don't even use their other one anymore unless their fave box is occupied by their sibling.
Promising review: "Love it. It’s been a month and my cats really like this roomy box! My girls are almost two. One is about eight pounds and my biggin' is around 18 pounds. I really like that my Charlie can get in and out, have plenty of room to move around to ‘ya know,’ and not touch her head or body on the box. I have a small apartment, so I keep the box snug in a corner of my living room. I don’t smell any odor, but I clean up right after every use which makes the raised lid so great! I wash their box and change litter every two weeks. I feel the inside of this one is not as messy. The sides are curved so there’s no corner clumps!! I still have to sweep up litter from around the box and, quite frankly, everywhere else... cat life! My son said its like the penthouse bathroom for cats!!" —SAYJAY
