Think about it: You never really see Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling on red carpets together.

The last time was when they were promoting The Place Beyond the Pines — the film where they first connected — and that was way back in 2012.

Fans had hoped to see them on the red carpet again, especially now that Ryan has the new Barbie movie coming out, but Eva said it's not gonna happen.

After someone wrote her on Instagram and said they hoped to see her join Ryan when he's out promoting the film, Eva responded that they "don't do those things together."

She also said that, in general, she only posts photos of her and Ryan that are "already out there" because she's not "comfortable" posting anything else.

"[We have a] very private life that we value," she said in a follow-up comment.

Oh well! At least, you can see Ryan in Barbie when it hits theaters July 21.
