Chris Evans Posted Some Stuff About Social Media Before Deleting His Instagram And Twitter
The Avengers star announced his social media hiatus this week on Twitter, becoming the latest in a string of celebrities who have taken breaks from the internet.
If you were hoping to see more of Chris Evans, his girlfriend Alba, or his beloved dog Dodger on social media this summer, I've got some bad news — the actor has decided to take a "little break" from posting.
Chris made the announcement on Twitter this week, explaining that he’d decided to spend his summer “with less screen time.”
Chris also shared a post on Instagram from actor Taron Egerton about his own social media hiatus. Chris said he agreed with Taron that his screen time had impacted his "ability to sit and be present and read books and watch movies and even seek out the company of people I love."
"I'm not sure why I'm making a big declaration about it," Taron's message continued, according to screenshots shared by fans. "I just think it's hard to break away from a cycle that I've grown to find a bit addictive, and this is me making a commitment to myself."
Chris said he "couldn't have it said it better myself!!!"
"Count me in," he continued. "Gonna take a little break. Much love everyone!"
