Despite what a lot of people think, California has a lot more than you'd ever imagine.

1. We get snow in California.

Yes, believe it or not, we get snow in California. It might not be as much as the rest of the rest of the country, but we do get it. We also might be shocked when we see it, and pull over on the side of the freeway to play in the inch on the ground. Don't judge us, just accept it.

2. We don't all surf

Yes, most of us don't actually surf. We might dream that we do, but we don't. Some of us living in the state have (gasp) never even been to the beach!

3. We have the highest and lowest points in the Continental United States

Mt Whitney is the highest peak in the Continental US at 14,505 ft above sea level, and Death Valley is the lowest at 282 ft below sea level.

4. Some of us were actually born in Los Angeles.

Yes, it's true. Most of California is farm land. While driving up the 5 to get from LA to Sacramento, this is what you'll mainly be seeing unless your in a city or town.

Yes, we have almost every type of terrain. All except arctic and jungle. We have forests (Redwood National Forest being one), Deserts (Mojave Desert), Mountains (Mt Whitney), Marsh lands, and of course Beaches.

Yes, sometimes Earthquakes can be scary, but those are few and far between. The ground shakes for less than 30 seconds and then it stops. (But to be fair, when they're bad, you know it. That is, after all, why San Francisco is so hilly)
