6 Reasons Why The 2014 EMMY Nominations Are Utterly Disappointing

The 2014 EMMY Nominations have been announced, as usual a few major deserving stars on the small screen were excluded - according to social media here's what people are really angry about.

While entertainment junkies were oh so anxious for the big announcement of the 2014 Primetime Emmy's this morning as always - we were expecting some omissions and nods that would take us by surprise. Here's why the internet in an uproar and fans, critics as well as contenders are rioting on social media.

    1. NO TATIANA MASLANY

TV Writers, #CloneClub members and critics all over are extremely disappointed. She's currently trending on twitter! For all those wondering who this Maslany girl is - do me a favor, please allow yourself to binge watch two epic seasons of BBC Canada's Orphan Black. Tatiana plays numerous characters and she slays each role with an impeccable dilect, accent, mannerism and so on. She's an acting class and probably the most talented lady on tv. Thank me later...

    2. Mellie Grant Needs An Emmy

Bellamy Young who plays the gilted wife of Scandal's President Fitzgerald Grant had such a season of brilliant acting under her belt that #Gladiators are all joining forces to boycott the Emmy's. No they're not! But a social media picket would definitely set voters straight next year.

    3. Why is Claire Danes Nominated This Year?

For the past few years Claire has won the Best Actress in a Drama category and she definitely deserved every single Emmy she has ever won - but we've all seen the last season of Homeland. As a huge fan of Claire Danes I think this year should be her last. The show is no longer what it used to be.

    4. No Mindy Kaling for Comedy?

This must of really sucked for Mindy - The actress tweeted yesterday "Tomorrow I get to hang out with @CarsonDaly at like three in the morning but it's not illicit it's Emmy's". So I'm guessing somewhere after 3 am this morning Mindy was the first to learn that she wasn't nominated for her hit FOX comedy "The Mindy Project". The triple threat (actor, creator and writer) was obviously disappointed with the nominations as she tweeted shortly after "Well, back to bed!". I think The Mindy Project is funny and well written and should definitely not be snubbed again next year.

    5. No The GoodWife For Best Ensemble?

4 words. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? #TheGoodWife

    6. Eric Stonestreet!!!

He's probably the most funniest man on Primetime - sidenote: his "Stella" impromtu performance a few seasons ago is my absolute favorite. Obviously omitted from the comedy line up. Heart breaking!
