    Mum, Dad I Just Forgot..

You adore the humans who gave you life, but we all have those moments when we have the urge to shove them into a freezer until they cool the hell down.

OMG HOW HAVE YOU STILL NOT EMPTIED THE DISHWASHER? To that reoccurring comment you think to yourself... Oh yeah I forgot to check the dishwasher as soon as I walked in the door, oh and the washing machine and the dryer and vacuum the malting dog fur all over the couch. You know those are my first thoughts when I arrive home.

    ALERTING PARENTAL GUARDIANS!

We have other stuff on our minds! The last thing on this earth we want to do is upset you, to make you yell and scream. Literally the LAST thing we want you to do.

We understand that you are busy slaving away at your jobs to provide for us lazy no good youngsters who supposedly do nothing all day.

Lets be honest, you were us once upon a time. Back in the day when Johnny Depp was playing Officer John Hanson and taking it back even further to when Henry Winkler was the Fonz.

Teenagers and young adults are the ones having it tuff too. There are piles of mind numbing homework to complete, uni lectures to catch up on, not to mention the stress to simply pass an assignment on la di da topics we will never refer to again.

Sorry mum and dad, those are excuses right? They should have completed ages ago. Yes you are absolutely right! It's procrastination it comes with the student lifestyle just accept it and move on, don't get angry just give us a cuddle.

Oh and let's not even mention the drama of friendships and dreamy crushes which further adds to the Jenga chaos inside our developing minds.

We do love you, we thank you for raising us to be independent individuals.

Please just give us a break now and again, if the dishwasher is not emptied before you get home we don't do it to spite you we just simply forgot, our attention spans don't last very long sometimes.

At the end of the day we appreciate you for loving us and praising us on tasks we do remember, like heating up dinner purely because our tummies are a reminder.

    Sincerely,

    Every teenager everywhere xx
