How To Split Up Mockingjay
Following in the footsteps of Harry Potter and Twilight, the final Hunger Games book will be getting the same treatment, but the questions is: where do they cut it off for the second movie?
For those who haven't been closely following the movies, the creators have decided to split up the last book in the Hunger Games series. The final book is Mockingjay, and it will be split into two movies. There are some people who have thought that there might not be enough material for two movies as most of the action happens towards the back end of book. Most likely the first book will be more of a set up at the end, but we are all wondering where the cut off point will be.
The obvious point might be when Peeta is finally out of the capitol, but the first half of the book doesn't have that a lot action. It is mostly has to do with Katniss becoming the Mockingjay and dealing with her post-traumatic stress.
Our best idea would be when Katniss and her team first come down to the Capitol. There is enough action that it will satisfy the hard core fans and the new ones. It also is about at the halfway mark of the story with enough of a plot line to carry the next film.
