    WHAT IF

A poem that challenges the reader to examine society and it's unjust characteristics, and to consider how the world could be different if positive alternatives and outcomes were applied.

    What if society wasn't cruel?

What if justice was actually always served?

What if hate actually was treated as a crime?

What if judgment was actually encouragement?

What if people didn't know how to lie, betray, or hurt?

What if bigotry, ignorance, and fear of the unknown were punishable by death?

What if sins were unforgivable? Would people still continue to commit them?

What if "weird" was a title to praise oppose to fear?

What if creativity was accepted instead of subjective?

What if people really could be themselves without fear of rejection and cruelty?

What if "different" was socially acceptable and "normal" was a way of the past?

What if people really were courageous and rules really were meant to be broken?

What if the world lived as a singular instead of as a plural?

What if human nature was to actually treat people the way you wanted to be treated?

What if humans really had feelings?

What if no one ever lied dying?

What if everything that was stated had the potential to be true?

What if you had the power within you to invoke the truth?

    Would you?

What if you dared to try?

    Would you really?

Or would it just be a lie?

    What if?
