Well, in honor of the premiere, Netflix has teamed up with Lyft to create "Strange Mode" car rides, and, I'm not exaggerating, IT'S SO COOL.

Basically, for those who live in Los Angeles or Philadelphia, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28, Lyft is offering rides to the "Upside Down" in their transformed cars.

And when I say "transformed," I mean the cars have been decked out with radio static, weird malfunctions, rattling seats, AND A GROWN-UP ~WILL BYERS~ PUKING DEMOGORGON SLUGS.

And because Crystal and I work out of BuzzFeed's LA office, we decided that we 100% had to try out the in-car experience. And let me tell you, there was a lot of involuntary screaming and nervous laughter involved.

Though it started out like a normal Lyft ride — small talk where our driver, "Will", said he's from small-town Indiana — things got weird when the lights started flickering and the Lyft app got all static-y.

And then things got SUPER freaky when, you know, the seats started shaking, our driver puked slugs, AND A DEMOGORGON HAND STARTED REACHING AT US FROM THE CEILING OF THE CAR.

But the creepiest part had to be when our car stopped and we realized that MEN IN HAZMAT SUITS were approaching us. I tried to warn Crystal, but it was too late.

Oh, and for those living outside those two cities, from Thursday, Oct. 26 to Friday, Oct. 27, you can get in the Stranger Things mood with "Strange Mode" in the Lyft app.

Instead of the normal Lyft cars popping up in the app, the cars will look like waffles, Dustin's hat, Joyce's Christmas light wall, and the Stranger Things intro.
