You got it — this is definitely the poison ivy! The best way to tell is by the solid green, pointed leaves that hang from the stem in groups of three. The oily residue that covers the plant, called urushiol, usually causes an itchy, painful rash full of blisters and boils. So remember, "leaves of three, let it be," whenever you're out in the wilderness this summer. It grows throughout most of North America except for California, Hawaii, and Alaska.
