The living room represents Taylor's self-titled debut album. She was still very close-to-home during this era and a living room shows comfort and stability.

The upside-down room represents _Fearless_. In that album, we hear a lot about how she was in an amazing relationship and then how it ended. The relationship was too good to be true, not likely to last. Just like a room isn't likely to be upside down.

The dining room represents _Speak Now_. Just like how you have to make your own food for yourself (and your "lover"), she wrote this album completely on her own.

The party room represents _Red_. Taylor is surrounded by people, but still feels alone. This is because her "lover" is talking and hanging out with someone else. Kind of like in the song "The Moment I Knew" (which is from _Red_), she realizes that her "lover" isn't fully there for her when she needs them to be.

The stairway room represents _Folklore._ The room above it, representing _Evermore_, is a continuation of this room. Just like how those two albums and their stories are connected, so are these rooms.
