You've seen the poster: a skinny woman in a teeny-weeny yellow bikini glaring provocatively down at passersby. "ARE YOU BEACH BODY READY?" she challenges.
The internet reacted furiously and hilariously. Angry women, sick of being told their normal bodies aren't good enough, defaced the poster, or posed in front of it with their bellies out.
One of these shots, featuring Fiona Longmuir and Tara Costello – who'd met the day before on Twitter – went viral. It gave them an idea: an impromptu beach party in Hyde Park on Saturday 2 May, where everyone would strip to their bikinis and prove they weren't afraid to be different.
