5 New Film Franchises To Get Excited About

With superhero movies taking over, there's a risk you can get bored before Avengers: Infinity War Part II hits theaters. There's also the chance you don't like superhero movies. Here are five non-superhero franchises coming up to get you excited.

1. Assassins' Creed

Michael Fassbender is acting and producing his own adaptation of the popular Ubisoft video game. Fassbender has already worked with period pieces, but this would be a whole new ball game. History + Fassbender + Hidden Blades = Awesome

2. Paddington

Directed by Chris Columbus (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secret) and with an amazing cast that includes Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Peter Capaldi, and Ben Whinshaw this children's favorite looks a treat for everyone.

3. Kingsman: The Secret Service

Adapted from Mark Millar's (Kick Ass) comic book, this spy adventure stars Colin Firth as a super spy that trains a smart but rebellious young kid. Also: Mark Frost and Michael Caine!

4. Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland is directed by Brad Bird who also directed The Incredibles and stars George Clooney and House himself, Hugh Laurie. There's little known about it, but it has to do with the future, inventions and Disneyland.

5. B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations
