10 Lies The Disney Princesses Told Us

When we were innocent children, our favorite role models (aka Disney Princesses) told some very big falsehoods.

1. Cutting your own hair is easy--Mulan

It doesn't matter if you've never done it. It doesn't even matter if you can see what you're doing or not.

Tip: Cut your hair with your father's old war sword

2. Makeup comes off easily with a swipe of your sleeve--Mulan(again)

Who needs makeup remover?

3. If a random stranger grabs you from behind in the woods, it's all good--Aurora

He's obviously just a handsome and really sweet prince who wants to sweep you off your feet and live happily ever after with you.

4. It's totally safe to jump off of huge cliffs--Pocahontas

Of course you won't die!

5. It's both safe and acceptable to impulsively move in with seven strange men you just met--Snow White

Come on now, don't be a stick in the mud.

6. It's fine to build a shrine for the man you're in love with but have never met--Ariel

No matter what you're dad says.

7. It's cool and normal to have your room overrun with mice and birds--Cinderella

So what if some view them as "pests?" I find it cute the way they defecate all over my floor and nibble holes in the walls.

8. It's normal for tea kettles, clocks, and candelabras to talk to you. Totally normal.--Belle

Oh and if your footstool likes to follow you around, that's typical too.

9. Using seduction to manipulate others is ok--Jasmine

As long as it's for a cause that you feel is worthy...

10. And of course the biggest lie of all......
